I didn't take it as he was asking for an award, just pointing out that he knew about the event and was hoping it would not be posted here. Maybe the comment was tongue and cheek or sarcastic, unfortunately that is not always easy to pick up on the internet.

Haha. Yes, I posted it as a huge boost to my BA ego, busted!

DogfishRyan could very well be a great BA, I have no clue. But when you make the comment that you didn't want anyone on this site to know about the event, it comes off as a bit selfish.

Reports of CW BBS selling out quickly are concerning to me. Is this just people jumping on the first few accounts to get it, or is there less to go around this year? Seems like you can find this stuff for months most years.

TW Roseville has at least a dozen cases of it at $12.49 a four pack. Also fresh Pompeii bombers in the walk in cooler for $7.99.

You sure you want to be near me with dangerous projectiles? My arm isn't what it was when I played shortstop, but I can still get from second to first in a hurry.

I don't get the hate for BA Vanilla Buffalo Sweat. It's not BCBS, and it's not claiming to be. It's a sessionable bourbon barrel-aged stout with vanilla and cinnamon. It's necessarily light on the barrel flavor because of the low ABV. To me, it tastes like french toast and I can have one or two any night of the week without worry of a hangover. There are tons of 10+% BA stouts out there...I'm thankful for a lower ABV option.

    Quoting from my review:
"While the BA and vanilla is evident (vanilla more than the BA), the cinnamon is clearly dominant, and the combination is too saccharine for me. At best, a middle of the road flavored stout, at worst, a bad combination of adjunct flavors resulting in an unpleasant experience."

The "at best" was when I started the first one. The "at worst" was me trying to get through the second. (I generally only write a review after 2 beers on 2 different days.)

"Hate" is too strong a word, but "unpleasant" is more accurate. JMO, of course.

    (Sorry, but you asked...)

I think it is just people quickly buying the CW BBS at a few big, popular stores and maybe due also to people new to the hobby overreacting after seeing how fast other recent barrel beers like GI BC and Darkness sold out. The CW BB Scotch was available in suburbs for a long time and may still be in some stores.

I think I paid around $25 for mine. It must be good, there's a 4 to 1 ratio of wants to gots on BA. The internet approves.

fwiw, i know many have ripped the Buffalo Sweat series, but i saw a new Explorer box set hit the shelves this week. includes BA Buffalo Sweat, BA Vanilla Buffalo Sweat, Big RICC, and Wooden Rooster. not a bad grab if you dont want to commit to 4-packs of each.
