Twin Cities Bottle Hunt

False, the rum barrel aged stout last year sold out just after 6...so 2 hours

 

Side project does the same thing...if you are in line at the time of the release you get bottles....if you were there today at 1, you got bottles

I got to DM about 1:10 and had my beer by 1:35. As I moved forward in line it didn't seem to be getting any less long. The whole time I was there saw only a handful of people leave with more than a half dozen bottles.

Definitely more people lined up and/or chasing stuff these days. Nature of the beast. I didn't see the first few people leaving but really expected to see more people leaving with multiple cases.

I heard about people buying 15 bottles of the Dangerous Man Barrel aged stout at one time. People, if you see a huge line behind you, don't buy 15 bottles at once!

I just grabbed a 4 pack of Dino Smores (along with several other brews) on my home home from work. Was shocked to see my receipt and see it was $20? Is that normal? I'm usually not too surprised at beer prices but that one got me.

 

Or Facebook Raffles like yourself with BA Darkness ($120) and Bourbon County trio (reg/coffee/bw for $130)?

 

they raised the price this year. last year i want to say it was $15-$17.

Well someone shouldnt complain about sellers if they themselves sell.

I also like you, thought id clear up your Untappd airwaves.

 

Any one know of stores on the west or north side that have Dino Smores? Gonna be headed from BC Liquors to St Cloud so along that path would be good. Cheers!

 

Pretty large line at BC already.. 1 bottle limit per beer.

Their tap room is one of the more popular in the cities. They make solid beer, but nothing insanely good in my opinion. That said, I think their stouts are good and would be interested to try this one.

Also, regarding the side project comparison - I'm pretty sure they assess the demand of each release and assign limits accordingly. DM should consider that model in the future.

 

My local water hole (Mendota Liquor Barrel) has some.. Went to picked a few up tuesday and boy these were tasty!

 

FYI - I managed to snag two bottles (not a case hoarder I promise) and just cracked one for those who're interested in how this stands. Definitely a great boarder line epic stout, very close to BCBS mixed with Darkness. In all honesty I was hoping this would be "meh" so I could laugh at the guys with cases, but now I'm just jealous.
