BCBS Sightings - Chicago

Fair enough. I don't have the bankroll to chase prop, regal, and rare anymore

And, much as I love coffee, I don't drink it fast enough before it falls off past the point where I enjoy it.

 

West Loop Whole Foods had regular and BW today.

 

It looks like almost all the big places had BCBS today, although I haven't heard much confirmation of Rare. What's weird to me is how Rare seems more common than Prop. I like it slightly more myself (I think), but I'm kind of surprised places haven't really been getting Prop in today, specifically.

 

That's fair. I'll bet another case dropped this week, then.

 

Oh, no doubt. If you have the cash, you can walk away with more Rare than Prop beginning with Black Friday and forward, IMO...

 

Picked up 4 regular at a local grocery store last night. There were about 10 bottles total on the shelf...

 

People doubted the 60k+ bottles of Rare.

If they are consistent with last year, there's about 88 barrels filled with Prop. That's enough beer for ~35k bottles... if you don't account for kegs, spillage, blending, or being absorbed by ingredients.

Oh, of course it's 88 barrels. Founded in 1988 and all that...

 

TON of regular at the Whole Foods on Kingsbury, no limits. Had BW too, but that is gone. Looked like an entire pallet of regular BCS.

 

Seriously...unless it's for real or if you want to reveal where you specifically purchased your haul, let's leave this photo off this thread an if appropriate put it on the "Post a Pic of your latest haul", eh?

 

Binnys Lakeview. Limit 4.

 

From my adventures during a fortuitous day off:

Binnys Lakeview had all but Prop this morning, limit 1 on everything except Regular, which was 2 per (Sounds like it was later increased to 4). Rare was at the service desk.

Castle Vav had regular and Rare.

West Loop and Lincoln Park Whole Foods both had regular and barleywine.

 

5 1/2 cases of Regular remaining a 1/2 hour ago at Binny's LP.

 

Binnys on grand has regular and barley wine, limit 2 and 1,respectively. 6 cases total left

 

Same thing at Highland Park Binny's as of half hour ago.

 

Any insight on Binnys Naperville?

 

Give them a call, I bet they have a bunch too.

 

Currently in a situation where I can't step out to place a call, let alone drive to the store. If you catch my drift...
