    Some great responses here

@MistaRyte - the beer I came across did not ring up as a different beer, I just happen to know that it is being priced way below other stores (like 25% the price that other stores charge for it)

Not only that, but where I live the top-shelf stuff will sit on the shelves in a chain grocery story forever for ANY price because the general public has no idea what it is. (It's a good thing that the top-shelf stuff mostly ages well! Until a few weeks ago, one store had a few 4-packs of last year's Bigfoot left...) So, I'd feel no remorse at all buying it mis-priced.

Like most, depends on the store. Most of my locals, I'd tell them. It's happened a few times, and they always gave me the marked price. What happens more is buying an expensive single bottle, and the cashier refuses to believe a 12oz bottle is more than $5. I've had to convince cashiers on several occasions that the price was not the 4-pack or 6-pack price. Also had beer ring up lower than the sticker/shelf price. Again, get a shrug and a "well, it's in your favor..."

The one time I took advantage was at a large liquor store with a small beer section. Owners are assholes and rude. 2 or 3 years ago, they had a 4-pack of BCBS in a glass case, maybe a month or so after everyone else was cleaned out. Price tag was $25. I asked for the 4-pack, and was told it was $25/bottle. I laughed, told him everyone else sold for $6-$8. He rudely responded, "that's their fault. Do you want it or not?" I'm sure someone eventually bought it. One day they had a bunch of 12 year old bottles of JW Lees Lagavulin on the shelf, no price. It came up as $2.99, so I went back and got a bunch of them. I didn't buy them all, as I was afraid of the condition it'd be in. They were fantastic, went back for the rest, but the clerk said they saw how old they were, so they put it into storage. He actually brought me to the storage room and let me go through boxes.

This reminds me of the time when I saw Love Child #3 for $9 a bottle...somewhere.

If I had known it would be that fantastic, then I would have cleaned out that fucking store that day.

Luckily I did NOT make the same mistake when Love Child #5 showed up at the very same store...at $9 a bottle, yet again.

I still won't say what store it is.

I one time got Wulver for $14/4pk, as opposed to the $25 it normally runs. Fantastic beer at the price, it was definitely a severe mislabel, but I said nothing and scooted away with the 8 bottles they had.

Bought a 6er of Xocoveza last week for $9.99. Thought at the time that it was a great deal. Looking back, it was definitely mispriced. Wishing a bought more.

In Chicago, this place on Ashland and Haddon had Revolution Unsessionable for $9.99 6/pack. I liked the place (at the time) and told the guy he was undercharging and it was suppose to be $14.99 6/pack. It was December of 2014.

A few months later, the owner tried to charge me $50 for a 4/pack regular BCBS. He also refused to sell me a 4/pack of the Coffee BCBS from the case he had behind the counter. Needless to say, I don't go there anymore and that stunt cost him ~$3000 worth of business from me.

scored on Green Flash West Coast IPA a few months ago.

i think it was going for $12.99 a 4pack (said the cashier) but the tag said $9.99 for a 6pack. i grabbed the 6pack and she asked one of their beer guys and he said to just charge me the tag price. they knew instantly the discrepancy so they changed the tag. oddly enough i went to that shop just to buy that beer too.

if i see a wrong tag i won't buy their whole stock of that item or tell my friends, etc. mistakes happen, i buy what i want not because i can screw over the store.

BUT if i see a good 6pack listed at like $6.99 or less then it's a no brainer but i haven't been that lucky yet.

I was under the impression that they have to honor the posted price here as well. I might be wrong or it may vary from state to state. Not positive.

That's pretty much how I come down on this. If I can get a good deal now and then because of someone's screw up, I'm not losing any sleep over it. But I'm not going to be a **** about it and get all I can before they realize what they did either.

I don't get all the hand wringing about this. If a merchant or an employee of said merchant prices a beer, then that is the price I (or anyone else) must pay to purchase that beer. Whether I think that price is too high, too low or on point has no bearing whatsoever.

Quite simply, it is not my legal or moral responsibility to make business decisions for a retail operation I do not own. Nor am I obliged to present the merchant with my opinion that he is letting a certain beer go cheap.

Buy the beer and enjoy it or don't if your conscience prevents you from doing so.

This just happened to me -- picked up a case of BCBS at Kroger early in a.m. Black Friday and went to check out. Lady scanned bar code on box and said $9.99.

Although tempted to slide the card and walk, I told her she should check the per bottle price and it was corrected.
For those with imaginations. There were 25 cases on the floor and no other beer buyers around.

Target had this and I bought it all. It's still sold out. Not sure if it was a mistake, but I've never seen it this cheap. Even my friends who own a bottle shop in GA said they don't get it that cheap from the distributor. Yes it was fresh

I wouldn't think twice about buying something at 9.99 that is usually 12.99. The three dollar difference is not enough to make me think something was off. My experience was a DFH 4-pk for $14, when it should have been for $40.
Wow. Well done. You can't be blamed if you didn't know
Wow... It was a one bottle limit everywhere around me at $10 a bottle. Are we talking this year's batch?
Wouldn't lose sleep over that. I've seen it for not much more.

The TJ down the street had 4 packs of Petrus Aged Pale and Monk's Cafe listed for $4.49 & 3.99 a few months back. At another TJ a week earlier these were the prices per bottle. I told the clerk about the glitch, but they said the price was correct. Fast forward to today, Petrus is gone and Monk's Cafe are now $13.49 for 4 pack. They look better on my shelves anyways. I believe the saying goes, bank error in your favor...

They don't feel bad when I pay to much for beer so I don't feel bad when I get a good deal. Beer Karma I guess.

I didn't vote because there are alot of factors involved. Such as, if it's my regular store, I'll tell someone but would expect to buy at least one 4 or 6 pack or bomber at the mislabeled price as my 'reward'. If it's a large chain store or supermarket, I probably wouldn't mention it. And the overall pricing of a non-regular store also would matter. If most of the beer is priced on the high side and I see something mislabeled, I wouldn't mention it.

But what you think is mislabeled may not be mislabeled. I've seen plenty of beer marked down because it's old. I've made that mistake too often thinking something is on sale, when it's just plain old.
