Oddly enough, these are the best posts so far.

Perfect night for a dark beer, thanks @LeperJim for another fun theme day! This also might be my new favorite beer. Cheers!

Another local NYC DIPA can from one of the many great newer breweries in this fine city and, I am getting spoiled. Very nice citrusy/creme taste, clean finish, but the Other Half's, Grimm's and SingleCut's are a cut above this. Don't get me wrong, great beer, just not at that class level I'd like to see.

This is the only Great Lakes beer so far where i actually like the new label better than the old one. The moon, the stars, all with a great stout inside. What more can you ask for?
Everything today will involve darkness, blackness and the added bonus of booziness:sunglasses:
The stars on the bottle require a little spaceblack to be played. Atmosphere is set, beer is sipped, time for liftoff.

    Cheers to everyone!

Starting day of the Dark with the lightest beer I could find. Also one of the best domestic pilsners I've had.
With a song that describes a White Night. Why...not sure. Game planning to get darker as the night goes on.[IMG]

Coupla these actually, outta the bottle... :grimacing:
Shopping today, spotted my first non-D/IPA from SingleCut - also the first I've seen bigger than the pint...

"Strong ale" can mean anything, but the "Pride of Squatney" appellation made me think "English strong ale"...

Totally unprepared for this "Imperial (English?) wild ale" (I made that up )
Tart and funky, with tacky English undertones and a rollicking 11% abv...

Get ready for a bar fight!

    Bottled on 12/2/15...
From the label: "Nigel" Pride of Squatney Strong Ale was aged for one year and then inoculated with numerous Brett sour yeast strains for an additional 9 months of secondary fermentation

BAs are gonna love this shit... :sunglasses:

Quite nice. Glad I decided to pick some up. Crisp and refreshing with spicy, herbal notes being prominent, along with some citrus notes as well. Cracker-like in it's malt characteristics. Overall I'm quite happy with this SA offering.

Well, I am getting a later start than I thought, but now that it's dark out I might as well get dark myself.

I've wanted to try this beer for quite a while. I can definitely say that it was worth the wait. Just delicious. And dark. So we're good theme-wise. Matching glass, too. What's not to love? :grinning:

Here is another perspective and a related tune in the spirit of the thread. Thanks @LeperJim!
