I saw the article in the beginning of this month that it was coming out. The brewery is already out of bottles. None of the usual stores in the Denver area (Lukas & Davidsons) have even heard of it.

Has anyone seen this beer on the shelf anywhere in the area?

    Thanks!
    Jason

That series from Twisted Pine has not done well. Their distributor is backed up... I think they still have the last 3 or 4 Artisan series beers. They wont release another one until the others are gone. I'm going to try and get hold of it for the store next week by any means. This one actually sounds good.

Did it come out in bottles? I thought I saw that it was only available at the brewery on tap

Is it the Carrot IPA? I have no idea why I didn't buy that when I had the chance. [\sarcasm]

    Jason,

The Wagon Wheel Stout was by far our most popular of our Artisan Ale Series but , unfortunately, also one of the smallest packagings we've done! Figures! Our Artisan Ales have been very popular, selling out at the brewery each month when we introduce them on the first Saturday.

Our Roots Revival Carrot IPA was the first of our Farm to Foam series that uses all locally sourced ingredients including grains, hops and organic carrots. Roots Revival was produced to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Boulder Farmer's market and has also been very popular with many stores selling out, I have heard of some stores that still have the product along with a few of our Artisan Ale series. We do have a few bottle of the Roots revival at the brewery if your in the area. If you need more information contact us at [email protected].

    Thanks

Not that this helps, but Wagon Wheel is delicious, definitely worth making the trip to the brewery if you have no way of getting a bottle and haven't had it yet.

I did end up getting some on tap at the brewery. They confirmed they had bottles, but sold out. They actually had several empty bottles on tables with flowers and such in them.
It was a good beer, though I didnt catch really any of the cherry and the Buffalo Trace influence was ultra light, pretty much just a slight hint of it in the aftertaste.

I agree with this. It was solid, nothing worth seeking out in my opinion. Truth be told the Red Rye-deR that was also on tap completely blew it away. That IS worth seeking out.

I really liked the Sacred Spice Chai Porter. Of course that's the one everyone seem to run out of :stuck_out_tongue:

I agree you couldn't taste the cherries, but I thought the bourbon aging was terrific, just a notch away from perfect, all the better for me since I'm an advocate of BA and it takes a lot for me to appreciate fruit in a beer.
