on the left Lefthand Nitro Milk Stout on the right Ninkasi Sleigh'r which was fantastic!

Second Day of the Dark beer, and i have what i think is the most underrated stout out right now


That's right. This beer rules. Make this a year rounder and everything will be right with the world.

Am i going to be cliche and play Metallica with this? Fuck no! But i am going to keep it dark with a dark death metal classic

 

Had time for a quick drink so I found a bar in the area. I'm having a Twighlight Zone moment here. There is definitely a strange vibe going on!

for my money, i'd say bell's 30th is the single best value beer on the market right now. probably the best non-barrel aged stout i've ever tasted. better than fritz and ken's, better than the best years of stone IRS, better than the best years of NEBCO imperial stout trooper, better than hill farmstead everett, de struise black albert, better than surly darkness, B.O.R.I.S. (!!!!), funky buddha's phenomenal nikolai vorlauf; just the pinnacle of russian imperial stouts. that it comes in 6packs as well... god damn.

this beer is holding up like i would never have believed.

 

Left in the freezer Thursday night. Wife discovered it Friday morning. I caught hell. Thawed in the refrigerator until tonight. So far, so good.

 

Saison Dupont. A great beer!

 

OK, first time having this. I knew it was a lager, but thought it would be a bit darker with more smoked aroma and flavor. Still a decent beer.

Is this song dark enough? Jim Carroll wrote The Basketball Diaries based upon his struggles with heroin addiction. This song is about people he knew on the street who had died from drugs and crime.

Just got done shopping for Christmas, and 4(ish) hours baking treats/cookies....time for a beer!

I saw some Stone IPA less than a month old today, so I jumped all over that sucker. Very glad I did, it's drinking like the prototypical perfect American IPA right now. This sixer will not last long!
