The Portsmouth Brewery? Sadly, it's been a few months. But the current taplist looks great, notably 5 C's: http://portsmouthbrewery.blogspot.com/

I made my first visit to Portsmouth Brewery on Friday and took my first brewery tour as well. Got my picture taken with Tyler, got the sampler paddle, and a pint of the Wiezenheimer w/rosemary that was on cask.

I also got the Shoyu chicken with sweet potato wedges and spinach which I should have taken a pic of. Also picked up a Smuttynose workshirt. The beer and food were great and I'm planning to go back some time in October.

Seacoast Beverage Lab has video of the groundbreaking at Smuttynose's new brewery at Towle Farm down the road in Hampton. While I'll definitely miss the ramshackle nature and relatively convenient location of the current brewery, I'm really excited about the new brewery:

Also, just up the road from the new Smuttynose brewery is Throwback, which is planning a future move across the street to the Hobbs Farm in North Hampton.

I went to Throwback last time I was in the area. They had a rhubarb wit on tap that absolutely blew me away! One of the best beers I've had in some time. The keg kicked in between my sample glass and me asking for a growler fill. :slight_frown:

Their other brews were quite solid as well.

Throwback makes some really solid beer--I especially enjoy their Dippity Do Brown (one of the more interesting brown ales being brewed in NH that made me suggest it as the state style), Oma's Tribute schwarzbier, Hog Happy Hefe, and a porter made with local squash that I tried this past winter. The rhubarb wit was very refreshing when I had it at the Southern NH Brew Fest last month. I love the laid-back, taproom-vibe at their brewery, though. Like Smuttynose, I'm excited about their future home, but I like the charm of their current place.
