That's unfortunate to hear, you are missing out on a ton of great other beers.

Had a hop lab triple and a hop lab wheat tailgating at the Giants game yesterday... amazing stuff!

Yes, I would think it was a pretty small run. I didn't hear of a major line on release night and I was there on Saturday afternoon (again, no major line). With a 6 bottle limit, i would guess under 2,000

There was no line on release day. I was there at 5:30, waited on the normal growler/tasting line got my bottles. It was more crowded than a typical Friday night, but by no means insane. By the time I left at 6:30 it thinned a bit.

My buddy opened the reg ANTEAD '15 last night. We all really enjoyed it, nice bourbon flavors coming through as it warmed, seriously smooth stuff

Has anyone opened a Silent Nights? If so, whats the verdict?

Its a very good RIS. Previous draft versions were under 10% abv, so I guess they upped the malt bill or had better attenuation. It seems fuller bodied than previously, so I guess added malt. I'm trying to decide if I'll open another one on Christmas or wait for winter to show up?

Without getting into all the customer service issues I have had with Kane (and having people tell me to stop whining), if you are going to have a twitter account, don't you think you should update when when bottles run out at 1PM, if you post that they are available at 12?

Their Hop Lab's have produced some really amazing stuff. This Hop Lab wheat was so freakin good and the Citra was just elite. The Azzacca was really good as well. As someone who loves IPAs, I feel so lucky to have Kane relatively close. They always try new things and do a damn good job of it. Best place

I think Kane posted a comment in their Facebook post when Silent Nights bottles sold out. I think Kane primarily uses their Twitter account to link to their Facebook and Instagram posts, so I usually check Facebook for updates on bottles releases, hours, etc.

Yes, they primarily update Facebook. What's the point of having Twitter and Insta, if you are updating Facebook and not those though? Could have also been solved if they just answered the damn phone when they are open.

I was actually there on Friday before 5 but needed to get to a dentist appointment at 5:30. They had bottles out for sale in the front room (Silent Knights, Fall Saints, and Malus all on the counter), but after the woman there served the first 2 people she announced "Oh I only had a case, get bottles in the back." At this point 30 people in line behind me had passed me, and there was no way I could get in and out in time, so I left without my bottles. Since they posted they had bottles on Saturday and I never got a push notification of an update, I made the 35 minute drive on Saturday around 3 (and called and, as always, went to voicemail on the way). So shit out of luck a second time.

Again, not my place to tell them how to run a business. They sell plenty of beer without me, but if you're going to use twitter and insta to reach people at least update them. Otherwise they do more harm then good.

@michaelckane if you're reading this, I love your beer, but your use of social media/customer contact could be improved.

If a person has been to Kane five times or less my thought is it would be unlikely they even know a great beer like Silent Nights exists. Same release style they did with Sunday Brunch in October with the exact opposite crowd reaction. As always, complaining about beer is relative to its hype.

On another note, anyone here listen to the Four Brewers podcast? On last week's episode, Season 2 -- Episode 50, they discussed the nerd rage that fomented on here and Facebook over the different machinations of ANTEAD's release. Though they didn't get all the fine details correct it was nevertheless interesting to hear the perspective of four people completely uninvolved with the situation.

What's more important, your teeth or getting a great beer? Kidding, I would've been annoyed too, especially by the line switcheroo.

I understand that silent nights is not that big deal, but you would have thought after the shit show that happened with antead they would have come back with a smaller limit, like 1-2 bottle at least for the first weekend to see how it went. Idk I just sucked that I thought at least I could have gotten the runner up prize of silent nights after missing out on the different antead options, not mad at them and gonna bitch and wine, just surprised and disappointed

I opened a Silent Nights, and it's even better than on tap.

Coconut ANTEAD is legit. Yes, its on the low carb side but it feels right for the style. Lots of coconut that works so well with the chocolate and barrel.

Had a tasting last night centered around ANTEAD. Went with the vanilla variant. Very very good. The bourbon is very subtle and the vanilla comes through nicely. Really enjoyed it. Someone else happened to go to Treehouse last weekend so there ended up being a lot of good stuff from there, which is my personal favorite brewery, and some Hardywood Gingerbread and Ballast Point's Peppermint Victory at Sea, which tasted more like pepper than peppermint and I really liked it. But the ANTEAD was far superior and so well done. Looking forward to trying the other 3. Tastings are the best. Great group of people and great beer

Kane is open today for Christmas hours. Silent Nights is on draft, but not part of flights.
