Per a 2013 email..
Beginning today, Griffon Bruxellois will be available for sale for 1 week. Unfortunately, there is not enough of this beer to guarantee each of our members a bottle. We had originally planned on releasing this beer last year, when we had a few less members, but due to some complications, we had to hold onto the beer until now. We have approximately 1,100 bottles available for sale as of today. We really apologize for this situation and we sincerely hope that it doesn't happen again. We have a slew of new, exclusive beers set to come your way over the rest of the year and everyone will be guaranteed at least 1 bottle each of these. We'd also like to assure you that the addition of the Hoarders Society will not impact your allocations as we brew all of our batches in accordance with the membership numbers, this just happens to be an older beer.

So they didn't have enough in 2013 for all the members to get another bottle...i would love to see there cellaring warehouse.

So this had been one of my favorite Bruery beers ever when i had it on draft.
I was so excited for bottles and sorely disappointed when i missed out; I remember this issue with not enough bottles.
So i cant figure where these came from unless it is just standard Bruery (or all brewery) practice to set aside a certain percentage of everything for future special releases and or bar/restaurant events.
I'm pleased to have scored one now so i wont bitch and whine but i am confused to say the least.

Two of my favorites Bruery beers ever.

Question for those who have bought lots from 12 Days sales in the past:
Do they usually bring out biggest guns (oldest vintages or most sought after stuff) near the end?
I've somehow only bought a few bottles from the sales in the past..i don't think i even knew about it my first year...

 

...and they are officially both gone. Darn job!

I know the last two years they've spread it out pretty well.

 

Ha ha. So back when they originally bumped it from the year before, I didn't re-up my bruery membership and it was carried over to the next year. GB being one of the beers I really wanted on that list the year prior. So I didn't end up getting one. And missed out yet again today.

Oh well, GB and Windowsill are the two bruery beers that have eluded me for the longest time for some reason.
