Made another run across the NC border to find some more goodies I can't get here. (Yes we get Maudite but I've never seen the gift pack with the glass and coasters)

What are those paintings in the background? They look royally bad ass.

 

They're art that some street performer was making at a trip in San Antoni. He made them all with spray cans and just cardboard to make shapes.

 

Stoners drink good beer.

Hanging out with FunkyMacGroovin today, we found these on the shelf:



We thought it was six batch 002x1, but when we got home we discovered it was actually five batch 002x1 and one single batch 001x3. Drinking a batch 2 now, and it's GREAT. Only the slightest hint of oxidation so far.

 

These last 2 weeks have been a craft brew extravaganza of epic proportions. Between The Great Taste of the Midwest and the Jackie O's bottle release and corresponding bottle shares, I've been on cloud 9.

On the way to the Taste, I stopped in Indy & Chicago and couldn't help but pick up some stuff at the local bottle shops...





Made about bunch of trades all over the Midwest and came home with...

I had boxes from a couple LIFs show up at my door last week (which I posted above) and I met MarkIntihar at the Jackie O's release on Saturday, who hooked me up with a couple great bottles for winning his Dumb Reminders LIF (Thanks Mark)!



Speaking of the release I was fortunate to pick up quite the haul...



As if that wasn't enough, I also made a trade with house guests jisom123 and his lovely wife, who were in town for the JO's Release and were willing to part with an Upland Gilgamesh! It was nice meeting you both...I look forward to the next time you're in town, it was a blast.



Thanks for the Blackberry Lambic (such an extra!)...you made my fiancee very happy with that one!

 

I declare batch 1 a shelf beer from this moment forward.

 

While this is not a major haul, like the wow stuff that usually hits this thread, I absolutely had to post it. I attended Heatwave33's tasting this past Saturday and his generosity is what you see above. He did a raffle including the names of all the attendees with the prize being this box of delicious beer. I won it, to my surprise. Cheers to him for being a great BA and inviting us to his home. Cheers, Steve!
