March shipping window? What the heck. IN! By then I should be able to get a certain beer from a certain brewery that is sure to knock socks off. Unless of course we have too many Colorado folks already.

Question: do folks end up posting what they got and tagging the person who sent it to them? Could be really fun. Also, does this count as a "trade" for feedback purposes?

EDIT: what counts as a brewery exclusive beer? One that is not sold in any store other than the brewery?
ETA2: First BIF so maybe I'd need a sponsor?

Looking like a triple threat up in here. @Dan_K and I talked last night about this BIF and if he does need a sponsor, I'd be happy to be that guy (and I know @vitaminvert would throw his hat in as well). What say you, @bbpro47?

Glad to see this picking up steam again, last round was a blast with some really awesome boxes going out. I am sure this round will be just as fun!

I read through about 40 pages of the Round 4 hints and hauls thread. It would be nice if there was a condensed version of the thread, for research purposes. It looks like everyone sent out a 2nd round of IPAs?

I've already acquired several beers for my box, can't wait to start stalking my target...

Not in any kind of coordinated way. 2nd boxes are common in any BIF, and in one where there's a focus on a specific style it has been common for the 2nd box to go a totally different direction for variety's sake.

I am learning! The group trades are a new thing to me so I don't want to do something "wrong". For my sake I hope my target is far Far East of me, problem with Colorado is a lot of our stuff is widely distributed. Only about 30% of CO beer is consumed in the state.

Send brewery releases and you'll be fine.

Funny thing, those are pretty rare in this state. In addition, a lot of the smaller releases don't get rated hardly at all, thus not qualifying according to the rules. I just picked up a BA RIS limited release, it has 1 review...

But I am sure with my sponsors that live a couple miles away we can plot and scheme to get this figured out. My plan is to pretty much list all the beers I am planning to send and giving them veto powers.

"Qualifying according to the rules" is MUCH less important than being good beer.

I know this is the stouts thread, but given your location I'll use Casey as an example; not a single person I know would complain about getting something from Casey in a BIF box, regardless of how many ratings the bottle had.

On the other hand, a grocery-store shelfie that has hundreds of ratings and is just over the required rating? Probably best to leave that out.
