Bad trader: @thebrewbrotha

Browsing reddit I am going to go with quite likely... the posts seem a bit lopsided.

 

I would guess the mods could scan @TheBrewBrotha conversations or trade requests to find out if there actually was another BA Ten Fidy trade proposed or discussed let alone accepted, but maybe I am wrong on that. It is one of the more ridiculous sounding stories I have read in these threads in a long time regardless.

Either way I see a TV reality series in this and most BT threads with cameras following both parties actions up until the BT in question flakes out. With the final scene being shot in a courtroom with Judge @JavaNoire presiding, delivering her final verdict, with the guilty party buying a round of whatever he didn't send for those that follow the BT thread. Put that on Thursday's at 8pm on the Discovery Channel and I am there.

 

I am sure he did the trade somewhere besides here.

the explanation is beyond shady, IMO.

He has time to post pictures of bottles he drank last night on his instagram but can't be decent enough to come add anything. This is beyond sketchy IMO.

 

I already told him that I'd take care of him on these bottles if the other guy doesn't come through. Patrick and I have traded before.

In what reality is this a mob mentality? @TheBrewBrotha never gave a hard explanation, just a ton of excuses that lead down to a wandering trail. It's really sad that someone with wanting to create a social media persona, this is exactly how a beer brotha should NOT behave and is very sketchy.

A package from the OP just *happens* to go missing when you just *happen* to recieve the same exact thing from someone else? Super sketchy. I hope you make it right.

 

I think what really bugs me on this one is he is trying to hype up this BrewBrotha "brand" across all these social media platforms but then pulls this. His instagram account has all these giveaways for reaching a certain # of followers etc.. Maybe you should just be a solid trading partner first and worry about your # of followers second.

Well good news is he is going to get called out on all this platforms (well at least by me he is) if he doesn't make this right or provide an actual explanation.

He has promised a shipping number today, and the box he sends needs to be for all the agreed to beer otherwise he is a thief in my book.

TheBrewBrotha's bs is hitting my last nerve. Maybe it's how he's talking himself up like a hero even as he reneges on his obligations. Maybe it's that brazenly piss poor tale of identical trades. Or perhaps it's just his *winning* personality.

@Patrick_Rosen a tracking # is a start, but only a start. He needs to send you what he originally promised to send. His strong arm tactics 'persuading' you to accept less in the hopes of getting anything at all aren't acceptable. That's just a douche move to rip you off under the guise of renegotiating.

Why should you be expected to renegotiate a trade where you, in good faith, have already shipped what you agreed to AND shipped on time? That's just sketchy as hell.

 

Its super annoying that this guy has been on here multiple times without replying to this thread but has time to keep posting to his other social media sites, amping up his persona. I usually dont comment on these bad trader threads but this one really struck a nerve. I would never trade with this guy regardless but it would still be nice to see him make this right but at this point that does not look likely.

This thread gave me such a headache. From what I take, this guy is either a compulsive liar or this is the absolute weirdest series of events I've ever seen.

What are the chances that all of this actually happened?
- BrewBrotha loses phone and can't message OP (also doesn't have a computer, tablet, or know someone else with a phone?)
- OP ships beer a day or so after the phone disappears.
- BrewBrotha miraculously finds phone (how do you find your phone when you're out of town?) after the package is well on it's way and let's OP know he won't be home to receive the package.
- OP tells FedEx to stop the delivery (probably too late due to BrewBrotha's missing phone debacle)
- FedEx confirms delivery of package.
- BrewBrotha doesn't receive the package that FedEx confirmed was delivered.
- BrewBrotha somehow acquires the exact same beer in the exact same quantities from another unknown source (Why would you trade for the same beer that you know is sitting on your porch?)
- BrewBrotha posts a picture of the beer on FB and then claims it wasn't an actual photo but a photo that was sent to him after being called out.
- BrewBrotha admits that he received better offers for his beer so he probably didn't want to go through with this trade anyway.
