Beer Release (Short's Brew): Key Lime Pie

I've never had KLP on tap at Shorts, but the bottles I've tried the past 2 years and once at Hopcat on tap, it tasted nothing like key like pie. It tastes like soap. I love just about every other beer from shorts and there usually spot on but I will only try this one on tap at Shorts to see if it is any better.

 

Loved it on tap 3 times, bought my first 6 pack today, will report back the results.

 

Excellent, maybe a little less aroma in the bottle but picking up more graham cracker in the finish. Want a couple of more six packs to last through my fantasy football drafts.

 

Just picked some up today, figure it should be more widely available this week...

 

Was completely shocked to see shops limiting this to 2 bottles! WTH?

 

I picked up two bottles so far, and I cracked one tonight. Right on par with Short's Cake this year. The amount of lime that hits on the nose and on first taste is absolutely outstanding.

I love this and want more. I know some people may have soured on Shorts due to some inconsistencies with their experimental brews, but they have really honed some of these recipes in. Delicious. True dessert in a glass.

 

Its out and its good Im positive my 6er from last year was bad because its nothing like this. Big bitter lime at the front, slight sweertness and then at the end graham cracker like you just ate one. It is very very interesting.

Yeah I was a bit taken aback by hat too most places said they didnt get much at all. A case maybe 2.

 

Just did a growler vs. bottle direct comparison. I'm actually diggin the bottle better. Probably the best representation of it yet.

 

I picked up two 6 packs today and it's tasting damn good, even better than I remember from last year!

 

Just got back from Michigan with 2X 6 packs its real good.

 

Where is the best shot at finding some in SE Michigan?

 

Head to a beer store. That's what I did on the westside.

 

Cracked my first Key Lime of the season tonight - from what I remember, it appears to be even tastier than last year.
It still blows me away how some of these things are so spot on to the taste of the actual item they model the beer off of.

I picked up a six-pack today and am enjoying my first one right now. I love the amount of straight-up lime

 

Is anyone detecting a soapy taste at all?

 

Is the Peaches N Cream going to be even more limited?
