@Elkevjoe: Be on the lookout for a FedEx truck with its bumper scraping the ground and a very angry looking driver
It's here...got my BIF box from @LehighAce06 ! Got my growler back filled with Forest & Main Recent Resident,a pale ale brewed with mandarina bavaria(new hop to me) and huell melon(MELONS) Tired Hands Growler Citra/Citrus ,Dry hopped citrus saison Pizza Boy Brewing crowler, Sunny Side Up(This won't last long) And now for the bottles.. Spring House Brewing,Big Gruesome A chocolate peanut butter stout (think I'll save this for a side-by-side with Nut Smasher) Port Brewing Santa's Little Helper imperial stout(arrived just in time) Port Brewing Old Viscosity (I do like this better than older viscosity) RR Supplication (always a perma want) Otter Creek/Lawson's a maple barleywine(this sounds delicious ) And now for the group shot with swag... Tired Hands Teku and Forest & Main holiday stem Thanks so much Kevin!I'll get to crushing this box very soon!
Glad you like! The TH growler I think is more pale ale than saison. The F&M beer is made with two very new German hops. Those definitely are not like Trillium "new hop" beers, but they are very tasty.
Man, seeing all these great boxes while I'm forced to slug back Heinekins is making me super jealous! I cannot wait to get home and open my box!
Made it home to Richmond. Already 2 cases deep in my acquiring of out of distro beer. This may become a problem. Mekong and The Answer this afternoon were amazing. Hardywood GBS randalled through coconut and hazelnut. They also had Hardywood's Berliner randalled through Guava, mango, and passionfruit to create a freaky delicious tropical smoothie beer.
Just opening this brew from the last round sent by @Homebrew. Holiday Ale from Two Roads Brewing & proper glassware.
@core42 my first beer since Saturday. Just landed in Portland. The bourbon and coffee play nicely with the mint... No easy task. Thanks!!!!
My thoughts to, 2 roads doesn't get a lot of love here, but there beers are pretty solid, their sours are pretty damn good too imo.
2 Roads is a new berewery for me. I'll have to crack open the Berliner you sent soon and check it out.
Had a meet up with another Newbie BIFer @jonbonfondle last night at Sisyphus Brewery in Minneapolis. He saw that I was looking for some Prairie Noir on the trade boards and offered to hook me up! It was fun to meet another local BA, chat about the beer scene and BIFs, and try couple new brews. Didn't think to grab a picture tho...
