Other Half Brewery Thread (December 2015)

I'll be heading up from point pleasant. Aiming for around noonish. The other releases have been fine. I showed up for the last few between 2 and 6 and only thing I missed was one of the single hops by 20 minutes.

 

The only things holding me back from going is that IDK how the NYE traffic will be up there - anyone have some insight?

If I couldn't take the train on NYE to get to OH I wouldn't go IMO. Hence why I am still going.

 

Heck, if I didn't have to work that day I wouldn't even be going. NYE and the city are not things I like to mix.

 

I feel like traffic might be crazy it's NYE and a lot of people are still working so there will probably be a ton of regular commuter traffic in the morning.

 

I'm braving the traffic. It's easy coming from the south, only on 278 for a couple miles. Trying to take advantage of the day off.

 

Love the fact it's a morning release on an actual workday, regardless of who takes "off" on NYE. I'll be drinking my face off so hope to see some of you misfits there!

 

Anyone try Super Nugget?

 

I'm trying to decide how to go about this release. I work nights and was supposed to only work until midnight but now we are doing our regular shift until 5am. I'm about 50 minutes west of OH from work or it's an hour drive south to point pleasant to turn around and come back later. This is not going as planned.

 

So I'm dumb and didn't bother to double check the date ave went all the way down there today. Not even open lol

They are open. They opened at 2PM today instead of noon. Place was very crowded. I tried the IPA and the recently released Super Nugget stout.

 

Thanks for the tag. Ended up going to top hops and a couple other bottle shops. Was able to have Susan on tap and picked up bottles of bourbon biscotti. So still turned out to be a productive day.

 

Drinking an El Dorado - it has fallen off a bit. Less fruity. Still tasty - single hops are my favorite OH.

 

Have things returned to normal since street green? I haven't been up since August. Hoping line won't be too bad this Thursday. I know it's a toss up given its NYE though.

 

So Im guessing no bottle this week as was possibly rumored?

 

Being a workday (yes, peeps have to work on NYE) and traffic will blow, I would imagine it will be really spread out over the day. Also depends how many of the dirty Phish Phans make it down during the day, we know they don't work...
