Yes, I agree. The Secret Stache stout was very enjoyable. I also really enjoyed another recent one-off bomber, Toasted Summer Kolsch.

I think its pretty good stuff for the price (around here $9.99/4), but don't care for the threadless that much. I think Cut Throat is pretty good and the Stache is a good value. I don't seek it out, but if I'm going someplace and want to have more than one, I'll continue to buy it.

It's inexpensive enough, that I'd say but some and see for yourself.

The Illinois Brewers Guild just published an interviewer with Finch's head brewer. Nothing much jumped out at me from the article -- but the guy who is actually brewing the beer (as opposed to the owner who gave that TOC interview) has a good background in brewing. It sounds like they want to do more specialty beers/one-offs moving forward -- hopefully we'll have more Secret Stache-like successes in the near future.

    Richard is a great guy.

I'm not sure how labor intensive Secret Stache is, but that would be a fun beer for their can plans.

Additionally, the BA Secret Stache (Coffee Version) from this last weekend was just great.

Was trying to goad him into doing some for FoBAB.

I've had the IPA and it was nothing memorable but I'd be happy to try some of their other offerings.
