Lawson's SOS CT Lookout Thread

I just stopped by Berlin Spirits, then M&R Liquors in Glastonbury. Berlin Spirits had one SoS 4-pk left, which I bought. They still have a small amount of Super Session #2 in 6-pks.

M&R had neither left, though they had a nice selection generally.

 

I just picked up some in Groton last week, one of the liquor stores does an email reservation message to let you know when they get something rare in. So I reserved myself a four pack and went and picked it up, CANNING DATE WAS 11/20! C'mon man!

 

That sucks even though the cans still taste good with time on it. Latest canning date is 12/18/15.

 

Grand View Wine and Spirits. Their beer club list is a joke. Unless you reply within 15 minutes, you don't get anything considered 'rare'... and when you do, it's a month old SOS.

 

A L K liquors in Hamden had a bunch on the floor on 12/24. But for $20/4pk, I didn't even bother checking the canned date

 

Kays Wine and Spirits had some Wednesday.. They are my go to, usually post it up on facebook, and beermenus. Can date was 12/18/15. They had a whole host of stuff, captains, etc...

 

in Darien and need a good bottle shop to grab some beers for the game. Doesn't have to be a SoS site, just good CT options. Thanks!

 

In New Haven county visiting family, any known SIP drops this week?

I picked some up in Westerly RI after leaving Grey Sail.

Confusing because it says on the can that it's brewed in Stamford. If that is the case, why is it so difficult to find?

Are people hoarding it like they do Heady Topper?

 

Check wiine thief in New Haven. Have seen wildly different prices but last Saturday it was 15.50/4pk.

 

STRATFORD not Stamford. Not being hoarded, just sporadic flow, but getting better.

ha, make that mistake too often. Between those two and Stanford, it's easy to mistake them.

When did you pick it up at Hamm's Wine Cellar and did they have a lot in stock?

 

Sunday afternoon. He had about a case minus the 4 that I bought. He also had Captains Daughter.

The owner didnt seem to really know what he had, but said it was the first time he'd gotten it from his distributor.

I would maybe call and check first though.

 

Any news on SOS, G-Bot or Imperial Stout Trooper sightings?

 

New batch set to hit New Haven County tomorrow.

 

Not sip, but coastal in branford had double or nothing sitting on the shelf today in case anyone missed out on that.
