Anyone know when the Abyss is hitting Chicagoland?

    I was told the same thing from someone there today. He said I am not sure if we are getting any because the truck transporting it crashed. I told him I know someone at their LP store is picking some up right now. He just shrugged his shoulders.

    Nope, but I did see this sitting for a few weeks on shelves once it hit last year. Not a fan :astonished:

    Randomly picked up a bottle of the 2015 at my local grocer in Logan Square tonight, so some smaller stores should have gotten deliveries.

    HP Binnys has cases and cases stacked up. I thought about it but passed. I enjoyed this beer but for some reason am hesitant to make it a yearly purchase. It was nice to try but my cellar is overflowing, so...

    I think I got there right as they were bringing out their shipment, so what I thought was the last of it was the first few cases hitting the shelves.

    I was looking at that, I would think if its a best after date why wouldn't they wait to sell it. Wouldn't you want your best representation of your product out there? I guess they probably don't have the capacity to make enough to ship and store in the same year and they probably don't want to skip a year.

    You pay taxes in most states on inventories, so to off load it at the end of the year makes a lot of sense. That might even be why you see a lot of these come out the finally 6 weeks or so of the year.

    Three cases on the floor at Bolingbrook Binnys with another case worth on the shelf. Doesn't look like this one is going to be too difficult to get this year.

    The Arlington Heights Binnys had the Abyss today around noon. A few cases of it were on the floor.
