Highland Park Brewery thread

For good reason. They only kegged two kegs of it. But fear not, Occupied will show up in bottles in a couple of weeks.

 

Word. Was just throwing that out there in case anyone was making a planned stop... (it's a short trip for me personally)

 

Hah, yeah, I was meeting @EB1 for a one and done that turned into a one and 3 tasters and done. But I was half expecting to see it on tap since it was on the website. Tap rooms that put up their list online need to keep that shit updated!

Anyway, sorry I didn't have a chance to chat! But I didn't get a chance to drink with @Earlycsquid either.

 

Ain't no thing homie... me and the lady were closing tab and headed out. I was tired of her whooping my ass at shuffle board.

 

Holy shit, Junior Junior is another grand slam by Bob and Tim. They're doing such an amazing job on Imperial Stouts. Can't wait for the barrel aged version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still not really into the Red Fife Wheat, doe.

In fact, they have beer specials all night and have champaign at midnight. It's a New Years eve super duper Hermosillo experience.

Looks like Occupied space and 7 to 5 are going to be on sale this week.

 

Occupied Space - This sour blond ale is aged with a mix of yeast and bacteria (Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Saccharomyces, and Brettanomyces) in neutral French oak barrels and then has organic Masumoto family farm nectarines added at about 2 lbs. per gallon. This beer brings a nice barnyard funkiness to balance the juice nectarine fruit. 5.8% abv.

650 bottle release. $15 per bottle.

7 to 5 - 7 to 5 is a sister beer to Nebraska with the 7 to 5 name referencing working man hours (similar to the Nebraska reference, farmhands, and long hours). This Belgian-style pale ale was aged 5 month with multiple strains of Brettanomyces. This aging transforms an already complex, dry beer into a fermentation driven pale ale with huge earthy and tropical fruit aromas. Earthy brett, tropical guava, and pronounced spice lead into firm bitterness and citrus pith in the finish. 6.7% abv

350 bottle release, $11 per bottle.

Man, I wish they'd go back to Sunday releases. Fridays work for me but it seems like Sundays are more fun.

But now I know what I'm getting myself for my birthday!
