While I'm not shitting on anyone (and not you at all), I'm just wondering -

When did it become a thing to call "beers" "pours". It just seems ridiculous. No wonder people look down on beer lovers. We make up stupid terms to sound special and condescending. You plan on getting some cans and having some beers. Sounds much better.

All these terms make me believe that beer lovers are starting to think they are better than everyone else. We are not. We like beer. That is it.

I suspect there are far better examples of what you're describing than what you quoted. Anybody reading it will know what the OP means so there's nothing special or condescending about it.

Beers, drinks, glasses, pours, pints, mugs all seem equally fine to me.

I guess I just prefer using that term in this context because when I'm at OH I usually sample various "pours" of beer that come in different sizes, from 4 oz glasses to pints. It doesn't really come off as a pretentious or ridiculous term to me, but I definitely see where you're coming from.

Believe me I wasnt saying anything on or against you. Ive just noticed this trend in craft beer where we use ridiculous terms for no reason. I dont want us to become winos.

Beer is beer. We are not better than people who dont like beer.

Actually, the term "pour" is totally acceptable since OH does have four different serving sizes, including the 4 oz small pour. This is on the first page. Cheers.

But what about people who like bad beer?

I've never met anyone who likes bad beer. If a keg, can, or bottle of beer has been skunked or spoiled, people will pour it out or send it back. Sometimes drink it begrudgingly, but Ive never once have I encountered someone who enjoys the taste of bad beer.

Everyone talking about how traffic was gonna be a nightmare was bugging. This was easily the best commute I've ever made into Other Half.

Does no one have a job!!! Updates on how much is left would be much appreciated as I was going to hope to do a drive-by on my way home.

I suspect this is early commuters that are looking to get cans and get out ASAP. I'm typing this from my apartment still, so I'll be there sometime around 10:30.

I unfortunately do the reverse commute and work in Jersey and need to be in the office by 7AM. Oh well. Hopefully there is supply left in the afternoon.

Lucky. Where did you come from?

I'm looking at the belt parkway right now. Probably would take me 2 hours to get there. Worst road in America (minus CT turnpike)

That's me. I'm never here this early but in skipping out on work and was hoping to be in and out and back at my office by 1030...doesn't look like that's going to happen.
