no disagreement on that. however this isn't GI or "the brewery". the audience here is broad & more importantly, the manner in which multiple posts come off here suggest to this audience the code is some sort of batch or other key component in whether or not one should be worried or treat their bottle(s) a certain way. it's misleading to those that don't fully understand what the #s represent.

Just cracked a bottle and absolutely no signs of infection.

Bottled on 9/17 @ 6:28 pm to comply with the request of @Highbrow.

Opened up my second bottle. Fruity coffee flavors, but I'm pretty sure it isn't infected. Bottling time of 1225.

Not sure what time my first bottle had on it, but it was for sure from a different batch (from a different state). First bottle may have been a little darker/roastier, but not by much. I know it is cliche, but I for sure will take any bottles that people don't want, just hit me up.

I want pictures of these so called gusher bottles. I've had three with no signs of any issues

Did the 2013 still have any coffee notes or had they all fallen off?

Batch 1848 tonight - sour hair spray throughout with minimal coffee. Pungent oaky tannins in nose and flavor as well. 2 out of 5 for this bottle, respectively. So bummed cause bcbcs is my favorite variant every yr :slight_frown:. Assuming it's just the bottle.

Tons. From my experience the coffee holds up quite well in BCBCS. And I've had them all fresh and with varying age.

opened one, tasted like nacho cheese from the gas station. traded the other. between this, kbs, java cask and parabajava i think i don't like coffee beans in my beer. shrug.

Cracked a 15 regular that was bottled november 9th last weekend and it was fantastic. My whole case is from that date. Hope they're all good

Dammit, now I don't know when I should drink my one bottle of 2015 BCBCS. I'm def. aging my regal rye though.

I also cracked a 2013 a couple of months ago and coffee was still very prominent--as much as a 2014 I had shortly afterward. I did think the coffee was integrated slightly better in the 2014, but the 2013 was still outstanding.

17/Sept/15 1732 was ace for me. Great coffee aromas. After having the pound of the beans they used, I'd say the fruit notes are maybe a little intense from sip to sip but I'm getting massive coffee out of it!

You will know it when you see it. Beer comes shooting out in foam upon open of bottle.

Some of you have BCBCS bottled on dates other than 9/17/2015?

Infamous batch 1841. My bottle tasted like crap. In my local beer friends group two other people got bottle from batch 1841 and theirs were also infected.

as ridiculous as that comment was, I have had many coffees over many years. I think i still have two left from 2013. The 2015 bottle I had wasn't worth getting off the couch for, nevermind waiting in black friday bcbs lines.
