Xoco in Austin

I'm in Illinois for the week, so, uh, rainy. Still, if you haven't gotten any, that's not necessarily any indication on the quantity you will eventually get. @Chuk_Hell was guaranteeing it would hit CM and Austin on Friday. Seems like you could be directing your angry questions at him. I'm gonna relax and pop this Mole Temptress I picked up in Dallas on the way up here. Cases and cases of 3 variants sitting around there. Strange that that's easier to come by than a Stone beer.

Thanks. I wish 3 Floyds was on the itinerary, but it's pretty far. I am usually able to pick up a few things that get distro here though that are interesting. Good luck on the search. I do actually feel bad that it hasn't hit Austin at all. It's pretty weird.

 

Awe, this thread got all mushy and Christmasy just before the Holidays. Warms my heart! I've seen it on draft, but not in bottles. Draft shack at Domain a few days ago and Pieous had it (unless it was last year's??). Good luck in your search.

Negative on this. Xocoveza Charred was for sale in Illinois today. I have friends that picked it up at a grocery store (not Chicago area either).

 

Still haven't seen this around DFW. Stopped at Total Wine N Plano and the 2 guys standing behind the beer counter had never heard of the beer. Not sure if they were employees of Total or Ben E Keith (as their jackets were branded) but they had zero clue. Glad to have such helpful employees that know less about their industry than a customer.

Spec's posted a picture of about 30 cases, but I think that's the Smith St Houston one, so not helpful to Austin. Still, pretty plentiful there.

I checked two of my local HEBs yesterday at 1 and they had nothing, but then Far West HEB tweeted it at 4pm. E1G just tweeted it 23s ago as I'm writing this.

Prepare your sphincters, I just learned that Xoco nitro kegs are hitting this week. I typically don't like this style of stout, but I like Xoco more than most (definitely more than Huna), and I think it'll be killer on nitro.

Edit: And I've started seeing tweets about 6pks hitting shelves in SA, NW Food Mart and Gabriel's specifically.

 

In Austin Spec's Arborwalk has about 4 cases on the floor. HEB Slaughter doesn't have it yet but should get a good bit probably tomorrow.

 

Whichcraft tweeted a picture of about 14 cases a couple hours ago and one of my other random HEBs has it as well. Seems like it's pretty widespread now. Not trolling, just stating the facts.

Just got myself 2 cases today, after trying this beer for the first time.! Wow this is Delicious ! I just love how all the flavors meld ! & as they all- come together to just, melt into your pallet . ! Good stuff.... Happy New Year !
