I think I heard collab with Tired hands on the 17thish? I bet everybody from PA drives up for that one!

In line at 9:30, out by 11:30. Next release is OH/Tired Hands Oat Junky + OH IPA. I've had Oat Junky before and meh. That's how I feel about all TH beers. But the hype is strong so it will likely be as bad or worse than today. And 15 degrees and snowing. I'll likely skip it.

Honestly, not a big fan of OH IPA (can easily find stuff I enjoy more at a local beer shop) and with the potential TH hype train, I'm out as well.

Yea, have to say I'll be skipping this one too. I've had both of those before, and they're good but nothing outstanding or worth dealing with a massive line for. Surprised they are doing the same collab again with TH and not something new.

i don't get the hype here. Every beer I taste is watery with minimal carbonation (except their collab with trillium and small green). People really enjoy these beers that much to wait in line for a can release? I'll take treehouse any day of the week.

which beers have you had because um... i think a lot of would disagree. unless this is some advanced troll attempt or to inflate value of TH beers trading now

in line at 11:15 out at 12:00pm one of the last few to grab suparillo. Had a feeling it would be crazy.

General sense is the line is mostly people from out of town early on because of the commuting pain. There was also a professional line waiter in front of me. She was miffed to learn at the counter that some people were getting paid $40/hour to wait in line. I think she only got $20/hour. Oh well. Sucks for the people who actually make it out.

Suparillo is tasting nice, if not a little boozy. I have a feeling in a week or two it's going to taste great.

with their session IPAs I agree (as I'm drinking this morning's forever ever), but not with any of their bigger beers.

I think that's session IPAs in general though, bitter water.

I should also add, if you're referring to cans released this morning I think OH beers tend to need some time to sit in the can and come together. Something like AGE with 2 weeks on it is perfect as is Green Diamonds. Until then, there can be a sort of watery disjointedness to the taste

Don't agree. Had dozens of Other Half pale ales from session IPAs to DIPAs at this point and while I havent loved all of them, the mouthfeels have ranged from very good to spot on. Never undercarbed or watery, from can or draft.

Never experienced that with OH. Most of their stuff is top notch. I've had dozens of different OH brews and almost every one has been remarkable.

Ha, as if TH beers need their trade value inflated. But yea, this is either a troll attempt or OP just got very unlucky or only drank some of their sessions immediately after canning. Otherwise I have no idea how someone could consider the beers watery or under-carbed (especially their single and double IPAs).

OH beers are quite different from TH, for sure, but I wouldn't characterize any of them the way you did. I've had many cans of most of their releases and have never experienced watery mouthfeel or low carb. To my mind, they are more bracing, "in your face" beers than TH, different but not worse.

OH beers in my opinion are jammed packed full of flavor. The last thing I get is a watery type profile. They are killing it right now.

I have really enjoyed all of OH's beers. AGE is exceptional. Green Diamonds, Hops Showers, etc. Never had one I thought had the characteristics you described.

I've had all their beers. If you really think other half is better then treehouse, hill farmstead or trillium then your palate is way off. All I'm saying is compared to those three ( which IMO produce the best IPAs), other half taste watery and is not worth standing in line. There is absolutely no mouthfeel when you compare to treehouse. I just wish we had a world class brewery in NYC.

    And I'm from New York.

OH Mosaic made me incredibly sad. It's hell knowing that I cannot drink like 17 of them daily. Of the thousands of adjectives I could use to describe at least the 3 beers I have had from them, watery is not amongst them.
