sounds awesome. Glad I signed up again. Any news on the "blond sour" that was spoken about at the end of last years 2015 membership?

Became a member for a first-time, and very excited (still have a 1st release Resolute in my cellar).
Do you all hold any Horizon Society Only Members events throughout the year? Particularly, any beer dinners?

We haven't in the past but we'd love to hear your ideas. We've done dinners at the brewery before with local favorites like Local Chop and Grill and could potentially put something together if we got the turnout.

Depending on date, and time, I could make this work, perhaps drag @kegnation along as well, and a few others up in Incestchester to come down for the nite.

That would be awesome. Maybe 4-5 courses, a welcome taster beer, and then the food pairings with some of your special beers (maybe hold back some of the leftover allocations from 2015 from going to the public and using them for the Horizon Society beer dinner instead?). Have the chef and the brewer talk through each course as it's served and why they made the pairing they did. Let each Horizon member bring one guest if they want, charge us $50-$75 for each person depending on the menu, maybe give a little schwag as a parting gift. Aim for 40-50 people (or more if the space can handle it and the interest is there). Figure out what would make sense and set a minimum attendee number so it is worth your time and you all can still make some good money.

What would really be awesome is if before the dinner, if all the members got together with you all, and we brewed an experimental batch of something, which could be then be tasted and served at the next Horizon member's beer dinner. As part of that we could also have a Member's bottle share, where we could all bring something special out of our cellars to share with the other members who come for the brew-in.

Just some thoughts I had--I'd welcome hearing from the other members what they might think would be fun...

As an out-of-town member, I don't want too much of our membership fees going to beers/events/etc that you have to be at the brewery to participate in.

I apologize if I am threadjacking but didn't think this was worth a new thread. Anyone have any idea if Resolute will last through Sunday? I am driving up to Harrisonburg and would love to grab some. Are there limits? Thanks!

Unless someone comes in with a wallet overflowing with cash, you should be good.

It wouldn't be any membership fees for this, any events like this would be a +$ to participate.
