I arrived around 10am, when they opened. They lowered the limit when I was almost at the table. I didn't feel stiffed, because I didn't make an effort to get there early. There couldn't be that many people who didn't get the full allotment and actually got there early.

Just got back home to NJ. Commute was much much easier than I expected and line was slightly longer than I expected but not unberable.

Got to OH at 10:10 (was 0.2 miles away at 9:50 and then got a bridge for like 15 minutes + parking) and got my cans at 11:45. Announcement of reduced Superillo allottment happened when I was 8 people from the front. Kind of bummed but glad I got some. When I was about halfway through the line there was a bunch of commotion and an exodus of people heading toward the front of the line which I would find out was the announcement/realization of a cash only line. I'm sure that cost me 2 4-packs of Superillo but whatever, at least I got 2.

The people who hold spots for people are infuriating. I wish they would hire one member of the staff to regulate that. I'm totally fine with going to the bathroom and getting food etc when you both arrive together, but that clearly was not the case for some people. Couples were joining other couples in line and a lot of randoms. That DEFINITELY cost me 2 4-packs which is no big deal, but if it cost me Superillo at all after driving 1.5hr and waiting in line for 1.5hr I would have been really pissed. Agree with pretty much all that was said above on this topic.

I was solo so went to the put the beers in my car about 4 blocks away and by time I got back Superillo was completely gone. The line for the tasting room then was about 30 minutes long. The staff at the bar, I'm sure was overwhelmed, but weren't the friendliest people. I ordered 3 growlers, not sure if that's too much or something, but the guy kind of gave me a kind of dirty look. I got home and half my Green Diamonds growler had spilled out and the cap was put on extremely loose. I really hope it wasn't intentional but I got a real bad vibe from the people in the tap room when I ordered. Kind of left a bad feeling about the brewery for me.

Overall glad I took the trip. I loved the TH/OH Oat IPA collab, but I don't think I'll be going out of my way to get these guys again, unless these beers are completely amazing.

They listed their holiday hours and are open from 1-8 both tomorrow and Saturday.

That is Day Drifter which I believe ran out the other day. Still work the trip to try their other offerings IMHO.

Don't take this personally. Its pretty well documented in some of the older threads.

Good for you. I didn't say that it was a lot of people but definitely there were people who did get there before 10:00 and got lower limits that would not have happened without a cash line. These people have a right to be a little upset. It's good you're OK with it. I'd be the same way.

Baby Diamonds and Superfun were watery the first week (it was noticeable but still drinkable). Have not experienced it with any of their single hop ipas. Green Diamonds and AGE also never watery IMO. Will pop a superfun and my last baby diamonds tonight to see how watery they are...

I don't get the comparison to Tree House at all. Living in NYC, Other Half cans are hard enough to come by, nevermind trying to regularly score super-hyped beers that are released mid-week some 150 miles away.

Personally, I think Tree House IPA's are in a tier above OH, but it's like saying that Patrick Ewing was terrible because he was regularly shat upon by Hakeem Olajuwon (though come to think of it, I myself may have said this at some point).

Has anyone popped a superillo can? Thought the one I opened was super boozy...Rest of my cans are going to be sitting for a bit...

I'm just salty that OH keeps screwing me up on these releases... last time moving it back to 12, doing it today instead of this upcoming Saturday, releasing stuff I have zero interest in next time... it's pure nonsense. I'm entitled to my brew.

The line was already 50+ when I got there around 8:30. By 9:00 it was well around the corner and when I last checked around 9:30 it was around the entire block.

The "cash only" line could've been handled better, but if you got there around 9:00 you were good.

I got shut out of cans but got a growler - safe to say I should let this sit a bit? I don't really love GD due to how boozy it is (oddly I don't have the same issue with AGE), so it sounds like I might not be a big fan of this one either.

Sarcasm meter going off, well done. Its almost like no other place on the tri-state area is selling beer today the way people rush to Brooklyn.

As much as I am an OH homer, it is only beer people! Stop the whining about limits, how to pay, etc, etc.

Craft scene has gone berserk with people lining up for beer like they were lining up for life sustaining food.

Intentional! This is a pretty preposterous accusation.

Any time I get an growler filled anywhere I make sure the cap is screwed on tight.

The way people are acting and complaining you would think Other Half was the only establishment in the tri-state area selling beer today. Its only beer people, stop all of this nonsense.

Saw a few empty beer cans and bottles sitting on someone's steps on Centre Street (same block as OH). Pretty dissapointing that people couldn't even throw away their garbage after illegally drinking while being on line. This will bring negative attention toward Other Half and could potentially lead to serious problems for them over time if it continues to happen.
