Check hotwire, they have some good deals. I booked their hot rate deal and the hotel I'm staying at is a little over a mile away from the event.

Man, that was so painful. A friend and I spent nearly an hour trying different browsers, hitting refresh innumerable times and finally getting tickets. Thanks to those who posted tips here. It really helped. See you in March!

I was reading comments from a couple of people that inferred a "requirement" to buy 2 tickets vs a limit of 2 tickets per trans.

So, never one to give up I forged ahead to try and buy just one anyway.

I saw you could select 1 or 2 tickets on the main screen so I selected 1
Then filled out the name/cc/address stuff but it still requires you to enter "something" into the Name for Second Ticket field on the name/address/card screen before letting you advance to the next screen.

I entered "Single Ticket" and it progressed to the final screen and only charged me the $310.50 single ticket.

Very odd confusing behavior making that Second ticket name field a Required field, even when you selected 1 ticket on the main screen.

    Still for sale.

Pissed off people with no 4 bottle options left.

5 hours, 15 minutes in, and the buy screen snaps up the $300/8 bottle tickets. Wife turned it down. (Whew!) Have we reached the supply/demand equilibrium?

I guess it really depends how long the rest of the tickets last. If they sell out before 6 tomorrow (24 hours), I'd say the customer was pretty clear about what they'd be willing to pay for this event/beer

I think we reached the people are sick of the shitty planning, decisions and bullshit you have to go through to get beer.

I know several locals that wanted to go, but the ticket purchasing was such a pain in the ass, they are refusing to buy tickets now. Even though they could get them with no hassle now, they will not buy them.

Assuming each bottle is $25, the event itself is $100. Seems pretty steep to me for a bottle tote, glass, food and beer, but somehow I still convinced myself to pay it. I don't think I would pay that if I was local.

People are just getting sick of CCB constant screw ups and less than apologetic attitude when they do their usual screw ups...3 or 4 years ago the market(beer drinkers) had to put up with this snarky attitude because of the beer but there are far too many other options just in Tampa alone that the Consumer can now take their cash to instead of putting up with The BS(Green Bench...Cycle..Rapp..7th Sun...etc..etc)

I have to ask did anyone experienced with CCB expect this to run smoothly tonight?...I certainly did not

Out of pure curiosity, (nosiness), I logged on to the sale site, was immediately offered $300 tickets, limit 2. Another question would be why would CCB turn down someone wanting the basic $200 ticket at this point? They could put the brew up for sale anywhere, and, one would think, draw a crowd to buy it. Or, maybe, the fest is sold out, and the website is mishandling that, as well. Oh well, on to March, and see how the "no lines" policy will work out on the city streets come that Saturday morning. As it has been said before, "I'm only here for the beer".

My guess is that they want to sell as many bottles as possible to as few people as possible. By doing this they kept the number of festival goers at or under the maximum 3500 and sell as much huna as possible.

    It's definitely not sold out.

Good business move, I suppose, but that's why I was a truck driver, not a beer baron. I'll be there with the ticket I F5'd to death yesterday. Let's hope for good weather, great people, and police who know how to handle this:

"Lining up before 10:00am is prohibited. There will be local police present to enforce this."

Yea good luck on not lining up before 10 am. I'll be there at 9 am and will be standing in a mass of people waiting to wait in line. It's impossible enforce. People are just going to hang around as close as it allowable until 10 am then people will sprint to get in line.

Just figure out a way to let the line start whenever people get there and keep it to the side. Snake it around if you need to.

And the Riverwalk would be perfect for snakes.
