I would suggest some of the stuff coming from Brasserie du Brabant... Yvan Denisovitch's Breakfast, Session Double IPA, Origame Kanguru.

    Your footnote?

Good stuff, above. Keep the ideas coming. A few of these have escaped me so far. So this is padding my next shopping list.

Super Fresca Tartaruga, Saison Vignon Mad Yeast(one off but hope he makes it again), Oude Mûre Tilquin (the geuze² was a 2014 release I think...), Oude Kriek De Troch, Zenne Y Frontera 3F, Nonniversaire Hopsasam, Renaissance serie De Dochter van de Korenaar,....

if we're choose Struise beer, i'd suggest one of the barrel-aged Aesthatis. I forget which barrel (I'd have to check) but i think it was the 3rd one being poured at FFB.
    also, CDOS shouldn't be ignored.

I had a barreled aestatis at the North Sea Beer Festival (chateau margaux I believe ?) and liked it less than the original.
I was at FFB3 but didn't get to the aestatis, too many goodies out there (blue monk, beggars art, zombination reserva, T.W.O., weltmerz, fresh cuvee delphine, black frog, pannepot madness, ...)

cdos is a story on itself, but you shouldnt drink more then half a bottle or you'll be T.W.O. ..

seriously, is there any news about a FFB4 ? Very nice food/beer event. Don't need the barber tho. Well I do, but not there and then.

    to each his/her own.
but it's a great drink. not a traditional beer, but it has great depth to it.

For me the best "regular" and commercial beer is Duvel, no doubt.

For "special" lambics: 3 fonteinen Hommage, Spontanbasil from Lindemans and Mariage Parfait from Boon.

I'll note that down as a vote for Spontanbasil for best new beer. Rest assured, in all of our chasing of novelty, Duvel is not forgotten.

Indeed, spontanbasil is beer that should be recognized. Normally Lindemans productions are sweet but this one is different! Probably due tothe partnership with mikkeller! Fresh Lemon taste and basil has my vote! Sad it is a limted edition...
