HEBs and Whole Foods around town have released it. No one got more than a case. Whole Foods Bellaire had it on tap the day everyone released coffee and barleywine (Friday the 18th?), and Central Market had it on tap this weekend.

I've heard that Spec's has quite a bit of it, but they are choosing to hold it until NEXT Black Friday, which is really crappy. It's also not Joey's decision, but someone higher up at Specs, so don't pile on to him calling him out on twitter or whatever. Still, seems really crappy to hold half the city's allocation of a beer for 11 months before releasing it. Dunno what can be done, but it'd be nice if they could somehow be convinced to release some of it.

Yah that's some BS. Too bad Joey probably has been the scapegoat of it all...but for Specs.....wtf specs!?

HEB Montrose had a few cases of regular BCBS in case anyone is still looking. Some other goodies like Avery Pump[KY]n and Mephistopheles, Brooklyn Black Ops, Odell Friek also there

For anyone still looking for regular BCBS in Houston, I saw some last night at the Toyota Center during a Rockets game.

No limit, but it was on site consumption only.

^ the mark-up is even higher if you consider that 150% is based on an already marked up retail price of $10.

If retail mark-up is 35%, cost would be $7.41, which would make a $25 bottle have about a 237% mark-up assuming the same cost.

Question for the Houston group. A lot of the BCBCS infections have been located out of state (East Coast and Midwest). Has anyone experience an infected BCBCS here in clutch city? Just curious.

I was curious about this as well, but maybe we could expand it to Texas as a whole? I didn't get any coffee, but got a couple BW. Haven't checked my bottling times to see if they match the big thread yet.

I have not, and the one I tried was either from Vintage HEB or WF Champions

I have 2 BWs, both with the same datetime 29OCT2015 1138. I imagine much of the Austin allocation has this same stamp, but who knows. I bought one at Spec's and one at WF, so they were different cases.

I drank one last night and it was great. I still don't think I've seen any reports of anything in Texas.

Any Houston BA's have any infected BCBCS? Had one...it wasn't.

I just opened a bottle of 2015 bourbon county coffee stout, paired with a can of Hormel tamales, the beer was delicious, no infection detected.
