After buying two sixers of OTWOA from the November batch and only 2 of the 12 actually being carbed, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Had a growler filled over the weekend at Dominion. It was good, but not as good as I remember it. Less hop presence, but the color was spot on.

Narwhal pulled out of VA? Not that I've seen...its most everywhere and has been since beginning of December...

Last year Solar Abyss was released the last Saturday in June at the brewery, expect the same timeframe again per DC Brau employee that I met at resolute release...

I believe Maryland beer drinkers have a much more refined palette for stout than those in VA. :grinning:

Was at OLAR in Bmore last night to drink some Gose Gone Wild on draft.
Bartender said MD wont be getting bottles until 2nd batch is ready to ship at end of Jan/beginning of Feb. due to the labeling. He said VA should have gotten some of the first batch of bottles, has anyone seen them?

Schneider's had Bourbon GBS, Christmas Morning, Love Child #6 and Eclipses today, as well as some bottles of BCBS.

Also, anyone hear anything about whether we're going to be seeing bottles of 4 Hands Madagascar here?

I went there for the first time on Saturday night. I thought it was a really cool place and draft prices seemed reasonable (for the area). Also, had a glass of See the Light and thought it was awesome.

I've already been to Sehkraft three times. And I do not live walking distance either.

Chai Tea Virginia Black Bear from LCCB. Not sure how it will compare to the regular or the vanilla.

Did they have any of their beers on tap yet?

They were pouring a collaboration they did with Three Chop't, but it kicked. They are doing a collaboration with Caboose and a collaboration with Adroit Theory. The guy said about a month before their beers get online. Something about licensing with Arlington County. The beer guy at Sehkraft is Jack. He has a beard.

How do they compare to Westover Market, which these guys also own?

This pissed me off like 2 or 3 batches earlier, pretty pathetic to still have this issue, although it doesn't affect me because I will never again drive to deep DC -> stand in line -> buy $19 6pks... if there is even a 10% chance 1/24 of the cans are not carbed. Spending too much time making new "metal style" merch, not any time on QA apparently.

Do their core offerings have this issue also? I used to like the Public and might order it on draft, but their cans are always 6 months old or MUCH older. Saw some >1yr old ones at Costco recently.

I know bottles at Westover are crazy overpriced, but I've never been to their beer garden. I paid $8 for a 12oz glass of Bell's Expedition Stout and $7 for a 12oz of Ocelot See the Light. Seems competitive compared to Rustico and WOB.
