I'll get there! Three little boys tearing up the house doesn't make it easier.

Maybe I missed the discussion of this, but it appears an Elements of Funk beer has fallen by the wayside. Last year we got Drei (a replacement for the Trois mentioned in the initial list, I believe) and Claussenii, and according to the "carryover" email we received on Monday we will be seeing Bruxellensis in the near future. I guess that means Lambicus is not going to be released?

Yep, sorry I didn't pull the Hoarder's only items from the list I saw (going off the site I only saw the RS allocations). I was also told that unless I find a more willing mod to make continued updates, the first post will not be updated again. :slight_frown:

EDIT: Nix that last part, it seems someone has already jumped on it! Thanks @F2brewers.

so, since chron 6 batch 2 is waxed, does that mean the wax policy has changed again? I thought only bottles that are $30 and above get waxed?

not complaining though, I love waxed bottles, and was sad when BT wasn't waxed

I can get the regular stuff pretty easily locally so when you figure in shipping/trustee it's cheaper to buy them off the shelf, plus I can support my local store that way.

I beg to differ. If you factor in the discount and add in shipping costs, I can't see a bottle being more expensive than the local retail price (which could be higher than the Bruery's retail price). Factoring in that this will likely be a coveted release, I would suggest buying the allocation if you want to secure some bottles.

I'd argue the month of December is the worst. I bought shippers on the 16th and they haven't shipped yet. It's not a big deal though and it'll ship eventually.

Allocation was 3. If people don't max I'd expect it to sell out in a second chance to HS

As a 15 & 16 member does that mean that I can order twice as much??

Any time I see that I feel obligated to max it out.

I wish I lived near DeGarde as well... DeGarde is a good 6 hour drive one way. The closest good brewery is Caldera in Ashland.

Jeez where do you live? I thought you could throw a rock and hit a good brewery or strip club in Oregon

Medford? Klamath Falls? There's a lot of nowhere Oregon it turns out.

Yep, Klamath Falls. There's a brewery in town that uses geothermal heat to brew beer which is pretty rad but their beer is just alright. Their blonde and their vanilla porter is pretty good though. Bend, which is where I really like to go (mmm Boneyard) is over 2 hours away.

Klamath Falls is surrounded by forests and mountains which is pretty and all, but the closest city is over an hour away.

Let's just say this, it's a shorter drive for me to go to The Rare Barrel than it is for me to go to DeGarde.

By the way, has anyone had the Scotch Barrel Aged Poterie yet? I love the anniversary ales, but I've had scotch barrel aged beers before that were far too smokey and peaty.

I just drove through Klamath Falls a couple of times on my to/from Bend. Bend was great, I wasn't even really tempted to stop in KF though. Looks like a cool place to spend some outdoor time in the summer, though again I'd probably just keep trucking to Bend.
