I don't understand how you BA's in Austin don't have the JK beers first.

    SENSE NOT FOUND.

I wondered how Specs sold out of WBR only 1 hour after posting on twitter... I made the trip down and was rewarded just 1 bonnie for all my trouble. How about you set up trades after you get bottles next time. Might help you make ethical decisions.

    They're distributed by a wine distributor. /thread

That would be due to the fantastic distribution laws in Texas. I said fantastic, wait I meant absurd.

Anybody seen either Bonnie or Weasel in Austin? I didn't see any Bonnie and I am looking for another bottle of Weasel for myself since the one I got is going to NY.

oh ok. now see, i understand the want of the trades but clearly from all the bitching you have to see how doing that with a very limited beer was a bad plan. right? I was lucky enough to get my limit, but my gf ladyofmuchbeer couldnt be with me to get hers. and now with the lack of the rest of the distribution she may never get it. not blaming you entirely but there are too many other people who have done the same. if youve got any left, id gladly buy one whiskey from you for my gf. a bonnie too if possible.

lyndsey, you are right, things like this shouldnt be out on the shelf and left unattended, regardless of signs im sure there were plenty of hoarders taking what they want. however, if it was hoarded just for those who were unfortunate enough to make it out in time, i dont feel bad, i would have done the same.

Oh well, I'm still sad I couldn't get any WBR, I wanted to share it with my buddies this weekend.

They'll have to settle for Weasel Rodeo instead since my friend was kind enough to pick one up for me since I couldn't leave work the day it dropped.

Attention: I've received word from an anonymous source that Spec's Brodie just got a few cases of Whiskey Rodeo.

South Austin. It's the closest Spec's to the brewery, so it makes total sense that they got it 5 days after Houston. LOL.

It's also the flagship Spec's for the Austin area.

Spec's Arbor Walk, just hours after telling me (was blamed on the "new guy") that they didn't have it and it might be a week or two, has Whiskey, Weasel, and Bonnie.

I am totally on your side on this one (lindsey624), but I have to ask... Even though there was a sign saying that there were bottle limits, how did he actually get out of the store with that many bottles without a red flag being thrown up, and someone seeing/catching it?

Was the cashier(s) just not up to date, and didnt know that those beers had bottle limits when they were ringing up all of those hundred of dollars of bottles?

Cashiers were notified, but I can't guarantee they all adhere to it.

Also the beer came in during shift change/lunch

Frankly, I feel like my ethics are my own and I'm not here to say what he SHOULD have done. I think its wrong, but he might not. That's why its up to the cashier to be vigilant. Its their job, not mine. As far as I'm concerned the cashier who sold him all of that is to blame.
