Where there is Hassle... there is Boooooooo... Russian River, address the problem. Send Spaceships to deliver Pliny upon the hour of ultimate constructions.

I'm just as happy with a Drake's Aroma Coma in my hand...

I'm just going to ignore that article and say there are retailers that hate Pliny. People come in who don't know what they're talking about and want nothing but Pliny because it is on the top beer list of this site. You have Kern River Citra and Simtra and Aroma Coma? Pliny is sold out? This place sucks, I'm not buying anything...

Citra, for the record; when it comes to retailers and consumers I'd argue is worse than Pliny...

Man, as an old timer I can't tell you how much it pleases me that beer booing is finally catching on. I remember back in the '80s a friend of mine once handed me a Lucky Lager at a party. I took one sip of that beer, set it down on the host's mom's dining room table (without a coaster) and booed it loudly. I'm pretty sure the beer was shamed and humiliated. That was the first of many beer booings for me; you've probably seen me at festivals making an ass of myself.

Well....ya boo it because you like Just Outstanding better, or because of the schittstorm that surrounds fighting over bottles of PtE, and bottle limits placed on it?

Bad Boy is a game changer....Nelson, I'm with you. Very good beer. But nothing to go nuts over. Subjective.

    Cheers!

I'm confused. Why exactly would you be proud about this? I'm proud about getting promoted at work, or when my daughter does something amazing.

Booing beer is not really something to be proud about.

I've never understood this line of thought. It's popularity doesn't take away from its greatness. I've been to stores in search of Pliny to include as extras in trade when some dumb ass would make some kind of sarcastic remark about how passé Pliny is, then suggest some new beer from Knee Deep as the new hotness. Folks complain about hipsters but the same mentality exists in craft beer culture.

So for you it's not about the beer itself, it's about naysaying what everybody else thinks about the beer? If you went to the Louvre would you boo the Mona Lisa? Mozart's Requiem? The Godfather? I'm not saying everyone has to agree on what constitutes greatness; I'm just saying there's often a vast difference between the swirling nebula of "hype" surrounding a particular thing and the thing itself. Sometimes it's easy to get confused.

So its popularity influences your taste buds? That's some funny ass shit, man. For the record, there are other beers I consider better than Pliny but you'll never catch me booing or turning away a pint of it.

Only in So Cal would beer geeks pull some bs like this. I'm plenty grateful to have Pliny and many other fantastic readily available.

I love most of the brews mentioned here, most you can throw a blanket over they're so close. HT stands out though more than any other, and I'm waiting on Lawsons DS.

aside from the debate about if PtE is the best or better than JO, or whether it is hyped, or too popular to like anymore... who the hell booos anything? It seems so juvenille. Even at sports games, or any other atmosphere, it seems something a teenager would do. To me nothing screams immature like a grown man booing, especially a beer.
