This looks AWESOME and I'm excited to pick up a 4-pack...but I have a hard time thinking I'll be able to taste any difference between the four beers.

A part of me agrees with you, I hope to God they don't all taste the same, but I have had Ethiopian and Guatemalan coffee, and just on a coffee standpoint, I was able to taste the differences between these and Sumatra and other blends. I'm looking forward to the Ethiopian and Guatemalan blends.

Oh boy.....this is right up my interest zone! I work in the Speciality Coffee Industry and trust me, there are HUGE differences in the four single origin beans mentioned. Now whether or not the Brewing process and other flavors mask these differences will be the big question. Can't wait!

I like this concept for a few reasons, but namely its one of the first I know of at least that seems like the beer is meant to compliment the coffee, in a way, instead of the other way around. Of course they will both compliment one another, but at least for me I haven't seen a coffee beer where the coffee is meant to have the spotlight. Pretty cool.

Oh my. Oh my. Oh my. This is the stuff of my dreams. I get to sample a variety or coffees in beers?? I want.

Does this brewery get distributed to Kansas City, Missouri??

EDIT: If this doesn't make it to KCMO, I'd love to trade for 1 or 2 4-packs. :grinning:

Terrapin is mostly south and east coast for distro, as I have seen in my travels

Awesome idea. Can't wait to try this one. I'm not much of a fan of Terrapin's IPA's, but their stouts are always on point. I just hope they don't replace Wake n Bake with this.

I have a hard time believing they would go ahead with the release if a standard palate won't perceive differences between the brews. I'm definitely excited for this one!

I hope you're right! But it seems like a cream ale (there are a number of coffee cream ales out there and they generally work well) would be an easier base beer to use if the goal is to be able to taste the differences in the coffee varieties. Not saying it would be a better beer, just that the individual coffee varieties would have a better chance to stand out against the base beer. Again, hopefully I'm wrong - if so, I'll be happily drinking my words!

Spot on! Those are exactly the two beers I had in mind. I thought Calm Before the Storm was exceptional. I remember liking A.M. Gold on the couple of occasions I had it on draft and wish it were widely available.
