If the Bretty Crocker bottles are any indication you will be able to get the bottles after the release. Bretty Crocker bottles were still available at the following release.

I know, but the hype train has picked up a bunch of steam since then and it's an Imperial Stout... if it was BA, I'd probably be out of luck, but my hope is that these last into the following week.

Thanks for the info. So when Other Half releases their regular rotation stuff, do they usually have a proper release? Or do they just put them on sale without notice?

Always a proper release. Every other Saturday they release cans.

Given ten days notice and the number of new things being released, I fully expect this release to reach something close to Street Green level of sh*tshow.

There goes the neighborhood... but night touch to implement a wristband system.

Not sure the hype train has picked up much in 2.5 weeks since the Bretty Crocker release, but this is definitely a much better stout (my opinion, but also ratings on BA, Untappd, etc). Keep in mind though these are 500ml bottles vs 750ml for Bretty, so there might be more of them. Hopefully it lasts into the next week, but if you're planning on holding out until the next release after that I'm guessing you're gonna be out of luck.

I was on here last month to voice my displeasure with some of the way OH had handled some releases in the past, so I just wanted to say Kudos to them for doing wristbands. Makes a lot of sense and will hopefully help this release (and future releases if they keep it in place) run more smoothly and eliminate some of the problems from the past. Awesome news!

It's funny, because I had two on Jan 1st, and didn't get the booze either. Then two nights ago (the 4th), I opened one to review the beer, and I did get a little bit of booze. Still was delicious, and didn't take that in account for my review because the other ones didn't.

Looks like the line-cutters will be neutralized, now they just need to work on the line drinkers !

Now if only we could pick up bracelets during the days before and then roll up to our spot in line at 10AM! Great way to support people in the area :grinning: :grinning: :grinning:

This sounds like it's going to bring out a ton of people who will line up for hours so I'm skipping but nice to see OH step up to the plate with the bracelets. That will definitely help things move a little smoother. Hope this is permanent going forward.

If last week's turnout was any indication, I think the Other Half name is what's carrying the weight.

Last week's was tricky because of ridiculous NYC christmas-new years tourists.

Think about how many people we're talking if even .05% of tourists (five people out of every ten thousand!) are into craft beer or related to someone into craft beer who bugs them to get out for a release (compounded by person on vacation bringing their significant other and maybe vacationing friends out with them while they're both on vacation!).

It's something like 60 million tourists a year in NYC. If that's uniform over the year, it's 164,000 people, but I think we can expect on some days like new years eve it's considerably more, closer to 300-400k, and that's an extra 150-300 people ISO OH Beer. That'll sell out a release immediately.

Although you're probably right and given the last month and a half of releases along with what's likely to happen with the next, we can say OH is totally popular.

Threes or someone else needs to start cranking out cans!

This guy must be a math teacher. Agreed, would love to see more local cans. Would settle for more crowler availability though.

While I do agree, the proximity to the Tired Hands fanbase and recent distribution into the NYC draft market could cause an uptick. We can hope the HopHands can release today keeps them content for the week.
