Woot. Looks like we're headed up to the Central Waters party a day early so we can swing by there too! Now, to sneak away to a computer at work at noon.

Because they don't want to undercut.

The same reason New Glarus is more expensive at the brewery. Both breweries are supporting the retailers that support them.

New Glarus explains it well on their FAQ:
WHY ARE THE PRICES IN YOUR GIFT SHOP MORE THAN WHAT THEY ARE IN THE STORES?
    A:
We price the beer in the gift shop at our regularly suggested retail pricing. Here we focus on beer quality and consider ourselves to be agricultural manufacturers, not retailers. It is a fact that we only sell a very small amount of our yearly production through our gift shop (about 3%). With that in mind, it is vitally important that we do not undercut the Wisconsin retailers who support our brewery with shelf space and great pricing everyday.

Did anyone else get reeeeeally tempted to max out on all four bottles? I nearly did and thought better of it. 3 per style for the win!

Now to figure out a plan to get the bottles...

Got my Door Kriek and Scarlett Letter. Now I need to see about making the trip over that afternoon. I really don't feel like making the hour drive, only to make the 45 minute one back to CW the next day.

Stay tuned. 15 minutes hasn't surpassed yet; some straggler bottles may be out there from carts that go un-bought.

Door Kriek popped back open a couple times but then instantly was gone again when I refreshed.
