I believe Biere De Garde is the only one of his beers that has a higher ABV.

This was by far the most relaxed and un-crowded releases i've been to since the ticketing system began. Granted I left about 1pm so it could have gotten more crowded.

    Anyways. Top notch as always.

Release was awesome today! Glad to be a part of a good one for my first time at Casey. I will be back in March for sure!

Thanks everyone for the tips on food/lodging in the area, much appreciated.

    Cheers!

The Cab Franc CFP was the show stopper for me among all of yesterday's releases (minus Leaner which I drank last night); it was just incredible.

The Riesling was bomb. The CFP cab franc was like grape jam. Perfect.

Agree highly. The CFP Cab was the absolute standout for me. It is a treat. Leaner was awesome too.

    Edit:

I was thinking about the whole 8% ABV thing. Next weekend is Vail Big Beers fest and the minimum to showcase at that event is 8%.

Wondering if this beer was pushed to that ABV because it's the one that will be showcased during the commercial tasting?

    Couple be completely wrong.

Damn I can't wait to pick up my beers, so much drooling right now. Wish I could have been there, but too much stuff during the holidays.

There's a lot more than just "Big Beers" up there and plenty on the menu this year that are under 8%. http://www.bigbeersfestival.com/2016-Festival-Program.pdf

You don't want to miss Vail. It's one of the best every year.

at least you gave it the old college try. earlier this week, there were still a handful of tickets at vail area liquor stores and it always seems there are tickets to be had the morning of.

Not familiar with this event at all but I am going to be in the area next week. Are there events where taps might be leftover extending into next week or anywhere I should check out while I am in town? Thanks!

I *think* you can still get tickets at some of the local liquor stores up there and they are listed on the website...

Here's a list of places that had tickets earlier this week. Each were given 20. No clue what's left at this point.

Alpine Wine & Spirits, West Vail
    West Vail LiquorMart, West Vail
    Avon Liquors, Avon
    Beaver Liquors, Avon
    Riverwalk Wine& Spirits, Edwards
Wine or Wort Home Brew Supply, Eagle

Honestly got confused here for a second as I thought I'd stumbled into the Vail Big Beers thread on accident.

Random note about Casey though: 4/20/15 Amarillo Dy Hop OT is drinking great right now, the oak is really coming through with a big funk note while the hops have mellowed a bit to compliment the funk with a nice spicy/citrus character.
