I second that, regardless of whether or not they release more cans.

I had heard from one of the employees there that it was in fact a scheduling issue with Iron Heart - but who knows for sure.

Both Overhead and Head High are available in cans. It is a 5.2 gallon can and should be perfect for your wedding.

12/16 oz cans or bottles only. No-hand trucked cans sadly. Was actually only hoping for the Head High for the wedding party and maybe the after party. There will be plenty of quality beer but Head High would have been a nice addition in the grooms personal in room cooler.

@NJNYC732 From Glenn, I was told they purchased 2 bottling lines, one for smaller bottles and one for the larger bottles we have seen many times already. He said it was actually more economical to purchase two separate lines than it was to purchase a bottling line that could be used for several different sizes.

Also told by Glenn that it was very difficult to convince Mike Kane to use an outside service to can for them, and after the first run and all the blowback from it, Glenn believed they would not can again until they had their own line in place.

Very interesting. Did not know that, thanks for the insight.

Not a problem man! From what he said, they plan on starting to bottle some of their hoppy beers (Overhead+Hop Labs)in the smaller format sooner than later. Albeit he told me this in late November.

Was trying to do the same thing for my wedding in March! Maybe some Carton ones instead.

FWIW You can reliably expect Head High and Overhead cans almost every time the tap room is open. With Carton it is a bit more of a crapshoot - last time I was there all they had was Canyon (which would actually make a pretty great wedding party beer)

All the grooms to be posting above are looking for "cans", not draft. Although we all look forward to the day when your post is accurate.

Mis-typed, should have been kegs, but I see the person asked for cans instead. Oh well. Thanks for the correction.

Yeah unfortunately the venue can only do cans or bottles...no draft. Thanks though!

Is that because they don't have the licenses or they dont have the equipement? You can always rent a jockey box with C02 if its only the latter. I had my wedding over the summer, and rented one from the local beverage center, though they ended up throwing it in since i bought two kegs. All you need to do is fill up the jockey box with ice, hook up the kegs and gas and you are good to go. Even with a full bar, a whole ton of BMC drinkers, and a significant amount of other craft in cans/bottles we went through two sixlets pretty easily.

My buddy had the same issue at his wedding, the snag is the CO2.

I think it is more of an equipment issue, they have draft beer over in the restaurant/bar area but not in the reception area.. Thanks for the suggestion, maybe I go down that route.

This really confuses me. I know it's from 'Glenn' and his belief, but it's just odd. I don't know how many complaints they received. It must have been a lot to not want to can and buy their own line. Mike gave a thorough response with his findings. Why let the few complaints stop further runs, especially after just one run?

Hope this is wrong and a run will be coming soon.

There was a significant number of complaints in this thread alone.

@SRBush1974 I really do hope I am wrong and that cans come as soon as possible, but enough time has elapsed where I think it'll be at least until spring until we see cans again. My best guess is that they plan on buying a canning line, but with the amount of effort they had to put into ANTEAD and the release, along with hopefully the normal awesome string of dark beers in the winter plus some new stuff, they could just be waiting until spring or summer to give it another go.
