Dammit. Totally forgot about this.

 

Well, it now says 'sold out' instead of unavailable, so I guess they're officially gone. Wonder why this one went so much faster than Raised Eyebrows?

 

Bottle count. 650 bottles of this vs. 1,500 of Raised B2

 

The word Masumoto tends to get people tingly. Also what squid said.

 

It was pimped out by a couple of different instagrams where Masumoto does carry some weight. Chris posted it on his, which folks following Chris tend to be excited.

Factor in that it's a fruited sour by Highland Park, which in itself was an instant sale. This beer has been talked about for a couple of months now since it never managed to really fit into a release given they had other beers they needed to get sold. So I guess the legend of this one labeled beer sitting in the back started growing.

 

Yeah, sure...but when I went to pick up my 4 bottles of Raised Eyebrows on the release day, they still hadn't sold out, and let me buy another 2. Maybe they just have enough fans to sell more than 650, but not enough to sell 1500?

 

i'm going to make up for it by drinking more than the equivalent of 2 bottles at the brewery

 

Bob's mentioned that they know the basic threshold on how many they can bottle with the expectation that it'll sell fairly instantly, thus they adjust how much they put in kegs vs how many they bottle. And it's just about that amount.

You bought bottles of Raised at the release, but he was saying they didn't last more than a few days before they were sold out over the counter on those extra 2 bottle limits.

 

I'm too lazy to check if earlier releases allowed them, but I believe proxies are now allowed.

 

We're talking fruited sours vs. Berliner Weisse. That's comparing apples to... no apples. You know people go crazy over fruited sours. Regardless on how delicious Sun soaked is.

 

Sun Soaked is still on because it is a Berliner.... with no fruit cmon brah fruit!!!!!!!

 

Yeah, makes sense. Part of me wants them to be more popular, and part of me hopes that nobody else finds out about them. Can't wait to taste this one.

 

I get it. The quotes, and my post in general, were just to let people know that they were still available. I guess if you are partaking in these online sales you know to keep refreshing but I didn't want anyone to give up when they saw that it wasn't available.

Methinks the same thing. I've minimized my beer buying at all the paid memberships I have and happy to max out my HPB friends thingie. Although this time we only got to buy one extra, right? No extras for 7 to 5.

 

grabbed these today. beer spaceship is awesome.
