MGM in Rosemount just got their shipment of Abyss. I think it was only 1 case. About $20 after tax.

I was talking to a guy at Cellars tonight. I stopped there before MGM. He said that production was down this year, to the point that most stores weren't getting any, and the ones that are have been seeing 1-2 cases. He said that his store (Cellars Eagan) got shut out this year for the first time, and they're a pretty big craft beer store in the South Metro. It's more limited here this year than most beers. That's gotta be why it's selling out so fast.

 

Still very pleased to find St Anthony village (Silver Lake Rd) still has plenty of canned pseudoSue (12/10). It has been nice to pick up a 4 pack every week. I didn't have time to check for any of the rarer stuff this time around.

 

They're probably out of abyss by now but they had a bunch of dissident and stoic left when I was there on wednesday. Stoic was on sale for like 14 bucks, if that's your thing.

 

So it's extra rare this year? Must mean it's extra good!

 

I heard that this year's version has bits of real panther. Just FYI.

 

Pfffft. 100% barrel aged panther bits or GTFO.

TW Burnsville 15.99 - 1.5 cases left
MGM Burnsville on 42 - 17.99 - less than one case left

 

You can taste the fur. Really ups the mouthfeel.

 

In Eden Prairie - EP liquor by Byerlys has 10 bottles or so left - not sure if its the stuff with the aged painter bits

 

wait, I thought it was panther? now I have to return my half case, painter bits aren't nearly as good as panther bits.

 

Pina agria around anywhere? Also if you've seen it and had it let me know if you think it's worth it at that cost

 

I had a glass on tap and liked it. I'd have a hard time spending more than $10 on a bomber of it, however. I'd rather buy more stouts

 

I am 99% sure I saw it at Bloomington Haskells last night on 98th and Normandale... price was prob 15/16 bucks. Not sure if it's worth that, tbh.

 

Had one of these a while back ago.. I recall seeing some at my local watering hole (mendota liquor barrel) for $13.99.. hope that helps

St. Anthony Village had it. I loved it, but not worth the cost. If it were $9.99 I'd probably buy the shit out of it, but $15/bomber is getting over what I will spend for something like it.
