If you're planning on looking for Spotted Puffer, Schaumburg Binny's and Highland Park Binny's are out,... just a heads up so you don't waste time.

Definitely call ahead... The near north burbs apparently got delivered late on new years eve, so no-one picked it up for the first few days, and then everyone forgot about it. The bigger stores are probably all out, but the mom and pops had some this week

There's still some Spotted Puffer floating around the city. Citra Ninja was released a few weeks ago and you might be able to find that as well.

Picked up spotted puffer monday in Streamwood. They had about half a case on the floor. Citra and Killer Queen both there as well.

The replay on this is, the original FwB email mentioned a tasting room/bottleshop that was i believe planned inside the original brewing location at wabansia and western. It seemed the initial plan was to open that in summer of '12? PW then secured a lease in the space adjacent to the brewery which housed a jujitsu dojo which was supposed to be the tasting room. It took Rio a long time to exit that space. In the meantime, PW opened their new production brewery, added canning and took on additional partners. IMO, they are still focusing on growth and everything that goes along with that like kittens in the wall and scott's new wheelie shoes.

TL;DR, there haven't been any recent announcements about a tasting room or bottleshop.

Please tell me where in the burbs. I grabbed the last one in AH a few days ago on a whim, drank it tonight and are you kidding me with how fing delicious that is?!??! I've been skeptical about honey and all kinds of other BS in these beers but this was on freaking point. I'm in for as much as I can find, just point me in a direction please. Cheers!

It sure did. They had a couple random cases sitting in the back for the day after the madness. last couple times i went in they had a bunch of bottles. Which is surprising because their pipeworks selection is so miniscule.

Late notice, but I was in Bottles and Cans around noon today and they had a full shelf of the Puffer, if anyone is still looking.

    Correct...

we're still looking to close our SBA loan for the production facility. There has been some unexpected hold-ups that should be resolved this month. Then, if the SBA/bank decides we are still a good bet, we will look for another round of financing to move forward with either an on-site tasting room at the production facility (already engaged architects for feasibility study), or we move forward with original plan at Wabansia and Western (or near it). We have 3 years left on the lease (both at Wabansia brewery and dojo) and would love to make it work... We'll see where we are at after we close this first loan and pay our taxes in April =p.

Also, we just purchased a brand new date coder that was put in service last week. Still working out the kinks but that should be good to go on cans from here on out... and bottles too soon.

Photo ripped from the Beer Temple. New dating is much more legible. Nice to see. Thanks PW.

Also, to clarify, because of the start-stop nature of our canning line, we have to change out one of the sensors on the date codes. So it's printing on there now, but not with the consistency or legibility that it will once we get the correct sensor installed.
