Maybe they didn't make much of it, but that doesn't mean it won't see distro outside of Michigan. ET put the label for Pappy's Even More Jesus on their instagram too, and that didn't hit distro outside of Torst and a few bottle shops in Brooklyn despite being brewed by Westbrook. If they only brew a very limited quantity of this, I'm guessing it will be a similar situation where it is Torst-only with very limited distro in Brooklyn, rather than Michigan-only distro. Hopefully we're wrong though and they brewed enough to distro it some.

I'm excited for this, and certainly respect Dark Horse for just about any of their "dark" beers, but if the price exceeds the standard $14-18 4/pack for "normal" EvilTwin beers by more than 100% I could grab a bottle or two, but I won't feel awesome about indulging in it. Obscene guilty purchase at more than $9/12oz. bottle. But I'd probably still get a couple. Damnit.

Why would it follow Dark Horse's distro? Non of Evil Twins Westbrook stuff follows Westbrook distro. Where the beer is produced has nothing to do with where it is distributed.

This would be great in MI BUT I know that it''ll follow Evil Twin distribution. Dark Horse has made great stouts for more than a decade. The price will be higher though because it's made for Evil Twin. Dark Horse is a great choice because it's a great quality and value brewery.

I'm guessing that based upon recent Evil Twin distribution increasing in Michigan that we will see some of this on the shelves here. Hell, just yesterday, a West Michigan store posted a SHIT TON of Evil Twin offerings (probably 6+). If we don't get this one in Michigan, I'm going to be really bummed (but I'll also get over it quickly as Michigan has all sorts of goodies).

I'd actually be appalled if Dark Horse agreed to brew and bottle a beer that wasn't aiming for distribution in Michigan, even if it was for a contract brewer. It'd probably make me lose faith in Dark Horse more than the idiots at Evil Twin. But I have faith in the bad boys in Marshall, and know this will be around. However, I won't pay a penny more than $12 a bottle, and that's on the ridiculously high side for me (it'd be equivalent to CBS bottles if I'm not mistaken, and I'd only buy one to show off my Michigan pride at that).

Sounds like you'll most likely be sitting this one out then. Also, Evil Twin is just one dude so it's a singular idiot. What do you have against Evil Twin anyway?

Seriously, is a $1/oz. limit (or is $/abv/oz. a more reasonable argument, probably not) on whether you buy a beer unreasonable? I've not purchased many ET beers in 22oz. mostly because they cost several dollars more than qualitatively-comparable barrel-aged 750ml bottles from other breweries. Maybe they make magic in their incredibly expensive beers, but their 4/6-pack offerings don't typically allude to that value while still costing more than most other breweries (exceptions allowed here).

Hey, do we have an exact release for this or just a window? Would like this sooner rather than later. CBS is one of my top three must have beers.

Nah that's a totally reasonable limit, I didn't comment on the reasonableness at all. I just think this will cost more than $12 a bottle so he likely won't be buying it. If I'm wrong I'll be pleasantly surprised.

    'Idiots'?

It's actually 1 guy, who is a world-class brewer and proprietor of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

    Hardly an idiot.
