Holy Hell!!! @Coldstorage just decimated the porch of the lady living below me! Glad I was able to find the box before she realized! This box is incredible. Had 2 crazy long time wants, and several other new ones as well! I don't even know where to begin... Beers: Goose Island - BCBS - Never a bad beer to have in the fridge! Russian River - Pliny the Elder - First bottle ever, had on draft a couple times before. Pumped to have a bottle to share! Russian River - STS Pils - Pretty sure this one is new, can't wait to open this tonight! Russian River - Beatification - LONG TIME WANT! Can't wait to pop this. Field Works Brewing - Brand new, never heard of this place. A nice full growler of a Mosiac IPA. This will be polished off tonight with a buddy. The Bruery - MASH - Another new tick, looks interesting, a big barleywine! The Bruery - Grey Monday! Can't wait for this. Have had Chocolate Rain & Black Tuesday so far, anxious for this one. Next up is some killer swag. Russian River Glass! Can finally have proper glassware for my RR. The Bruery - Bottle saver? Looks like a cork to put back on top of partially consumed bottles. Pretty sweet. Pliny the Elder Vinly Sticker - This will either go on my Mash tun or go into my sticker drawer for a beer fridge! Candied Bacon Carmel corn made with BCBS and blue cheese I never knew this many delicious things could go on popcorn! Last but not least..... two sick t-shirts from Russian River AND Field works. I'll be wearing the fieldworks tonight so I've got proper attire to consume that grolwer. Thanks again @Coldstorage this is a incredible box and well worth the wait!
@Greeny87 I wrote up a note to slip in the box and forgot to include it. Oh well, here is some info: Glad it made it there safe pal! Sorry I overlooked your vacation when you mentioned it but if you are happy then all is well that ends well. Pulled the Grey Monday and Beatification of your want list so im glad to hear that its up to date and that they are actually still new beers to you. Those Bruery beer stoppers come in handy for when you want to drink one of their big beers solo style. I use one of those myself and take down a GM or MW over the course of 2-3 days. I thought maybe you might want to use it on that GM but your also free to guzzle it in one sitting. No judgment here! I wanted to send you a Blind Pig too but RR was out the day I went to grab your beers. Might have to follow up on that one down the road... Fieldwork is the new(ish) hot shit brewery in the East Bay here. Their head brewer Alex used to brew at Ballast Point and Modern Times. I have really enjoyed almost every beer I have had there. The "St" series are their single hop IPAs. Everyone loves Mosaic so I thought it would be a good bet. Fieldwork just announced they are filling crowlers now so I believe I will be sending a lot more of their beers out in boxes. The Chunky Pig stuff is made in SF and sold at City Beer but that blue cheese bourbon county one was (as far as I know) never sold, just handed out to people one per person at the city beer BC event. My buddy opened his bag and shared it immediately with me so I figured id pass my bag on to you. I know sending BC might seem lazy to some but I did want to send the chunky pig popcorn swag and the rules do state that all swag must have an accompanying beer. I was going to send you a BCBBW to go with the candy corn but when the word started spreading about infection issues I decided to play it safe and send regular. Enjoy!
No worries at all. That's solid, Ill def drink the BCBS while eating that popcorn one of these days soon! No sweat on the Blind Pig, have had that on draft a few times, but it's still great! Back home after the fest. Great day. Awesome beers. Ticked 2 handhakes, 1 from the Locals and 1 from the Newbies (@Steban) and his wife. It was crazy packed and 5 hours flew by. I wasn't able to make it but I saw a video of the share that Steve went to. F'ing insane. I think it was 60 people and over 100 beers
It was nice to meet you and your friend. Next time at Huna weekend we'll definitely have to share some beers. The bottle share before was insane. Met so many awesome people and drank soooooo many great beers. It was my first time being at a share that huge.
Yeah. Touched down about 10-15 miles from our house. Did some damage but fortunately houses in Florida are generally well-constructed in case of hurricanes. The wife and kids were a little freaked out but they were at in-laws in Fort Myers.
