The Abyss - Oakland County MI

Supposedly at 8* Plato yesterday. Hoping to find some today.

 

Lake Orion Shell posted they had it on Instagram a couple hours ago, I'm sure it won't be cheap.

 

Zetouna's sent out a text saying it was in. I'd call first.

 

Which means it's at least a week before non-regulars can buy it.

 

Most places are supposed to see it this wed, is at least what I've been hearing. Hoping my go to store has a bottle locked up for me!!

Don't feel like you missed out if you don't get any. One of the most underwhelming, hyped up BA stouts out there IMO

To each their own. I find it a unique and complex beer, and I love the look of the bottle. If you had not had a bottle yet, it is worth seeking out in my opinion.

 

This beer ages well and is at it's prime at about 3 years old.

 

Red Wagon Troy got it yesterday. I stopped in to buy something completely different and the beer guy mentioned he just got it in.

 

I had some on draft on New Years Eve this year at Ale Mary's. First time I tried it. Very good and smooth and I hope to grab a bottle to taste more than the 4 or 6oz pour I had.

 

I've had it aged a few years and fresh, and have decided it's just not for me. Obligatory "More for the rest of you!"

 

I had a 4 year verticle in Vegas a couple of years ago and I was hooked.

 

It's a solid BA stout especially for the price.

 

Anyone heard how hard the 2 variants are going to be to get in SE Michigan or if we'll be seeing any at all?
