I stopped in at a bar on Block Island while the girls were shopping. It was a honey porter, I forget the name of the company, although I don't think I would say it. Anyway, the beer was pretty bad..But..there was an ice-cube in the beer. I have not seen this before anywhere (putting an ice-cube in a draft). I wanted to ask if it was common for them or if the bartender just didn't see it in there but at the time I didn't want to seem stupid. I finished the beer as fast as I could and left.

THIS beer right here takes the top spot as the worst beer (possibly thing?) to have ever crossed my palate. I actually in courage people to seek the remaining bottles of this beer out there to see what a truly despicable beer taste like.

Strohs, and its not even close.

I remember my first time trying Strohs; buddy and me in high school borrowed some from his uncle's fridge so we could party on a Friday night. It was the only alcohol we had, and we poured it on the bonfire. No one deserves that...

Schlitz. I forgot about this one. A few years ago(2009), I was down at my grandparents house helping put up the Christmas tree. My uncle and I had an agreement that we would alternate bringing the beer. It was my turn. I had wanted to try Schlitz because you have to start somewhere on your beer journey and I started on the cheap end of the spectrum. My grandfather loved it because it reminded him of the 60's when the beer was king. At the end of the evening, when my uncle went home, he told me never to bring Schlitz again; and this guy will drink anything. Since then I've avoided it.

Carling Black Label, I had to drain pour it, which is something I almost never do. This is really sad because it is an historic brand in canada, and it used to be much better.

Genny Light. Tasted like club soda with a kiss of hops.

For some reason I really want to subject myself to this one but I have not come across a single of it yet (and refuse to by the mixed 12 pack just to try one). Not expecting much but I'm intrigued on how wrong it could go...

I had completely forgotten about Golden Anniversary... That stuff was fairly awful.

Ahhh, the Ice beers - I went to undergrad when that was the big thing and everyone had one (had to love the harsher fusel alcohol flavor in them).

Rogue- it is a draw between the Maple Bacon Donut or the Siracha beers. Both utterly repulsive- donut was nothing more than a sickening dose of liquid smoke on top of a thin esb, and Siracha was nothing but heat on top of the same esb. I had donut while camping with friends and consensus was that it should not have been created. Siracha I had with a friend at a BBQ and I couldn't get past 3 sips before pouring down the sink drain. Oddly enough my friend liked it, but then again he loves BMC macros and won't drink much craft.

Two of the worst beers from the same brewery. I applaud the creativity, but the execution was half assed.

We bought like 10 cases for party once in college because it was literally the cheapest beer at Hoosick Beverage that they were trying to get rid of. I think like $7 for a 30 rack. It tasted like old pennies, just horrible.

1971 Fox Deluxe. Found an unopened can last year in a friend's basement as he was preparing to move. Two of us thought it would make for an interesting Untappd check in. Tasted like pure liquid tin.

Empire Brewing White Aphro. It tastes like perfume, dish detergent, and nail polish remover.

I'll bite . Not only that it's taking up a huge palate in a store that used to have more shelves and much less ab in bev. The beer isall over the place in alphabetical order and what is obvious is that the beer is still all the same stuff. The dundee is still the spring case, the beers I asked the guy to put back on the shelf are still not there and now its an end cap of cider- I asked for Okocim and bittburger 4 packs of pint cans they were $5 - the bud light takes up a palate where there used to be an aisle . . . OH ><

Sounds almost exactly like the Corning Wegman's, where I do most of my beer shopping. I'm annoyed that the build-your-own six pack cooler is clogged with terrible beer like Empire's, hard soadas and malt beverages. They don't have even pumpkin ales or other fall fare. It's sad. Even the Elmira Wegman's has a build-your-own section, despite being worse overall.
