I worry about this every time I pack up a box to ship it. Just curious about some sob stories about big boxes you sent out that were damaged and never made it and to cry over how much money you lost on it.

My worst one was an Upland sour, Gratitude (extra), Mirror Mirror, and Jackie O's Dark Apparition (extra). Not a huge amount but that's over $75 on 4 bottles.

In this case what happened? It's all gone? Did they lose the package?

In this rare circumstance it's really important to make sure you are adequately insuring your packages so you can at least get some money back for them.

Something broke in the package and they threw the entire box out. I'll admit, it was early on for me and the packaging wasn't what it should have been.

I lost one last week. "Damaged: Unable to Deliver". They finally told me it was "destroyed. Lost about $80 worth of bottles, nothing huge just a good assortment of stuff. Did you file a claim for yours?

I sent a pretty nice box once that just went completely missing. Didn't have any uber whales in it but some Side Project, ADWTD #2, AB Noir, and others. Luckily, this was with a regular partner who I don't really trade with but just send stuff to so there weren't any issues with me having to fulfill my side of the deal (which a couple I couldn't replace) Got my insurance money and shipping costs back but it still sucked

I just shipped one out with 3* Fremont barrel Aged stuff + extras and the $3 12oz extra was the only thing to break and I got everything Else back from FedEx.

Last December I was shipping a box of de Garde to NY, and was leaving for a Mexico vacation the next day, so I was in a rush to get the box out. Like an idiot, I didn't even look at the weather. Oops, I think like 5 or the 12 bottle shipper made it. It hurt to replace those bottles. I'll never, ever, make that mistake again. Weather has usually been the culprit of lost bottles for me, but usually a bottle here or there, not half the box.

This just highlights why having some decent insurance on your package is imperative.

DDH Trillium, 2 x 2014 BCBS, 2 x SoS I was set to receive from my buddy who I had sent a growler of Bodhi plus some white rajah and fat heads stuff. Got the message from Fedex saying Damaged unable to deliver and I was PISSED. I'll never know how many/what broke. And he was all worried about how I packaged the growler before it arrived to him.

Not damaged but I lost 3x JK BdBdB, 1 Pumpkinator, 1 La Muerta EC12, plus extras because someone broke into my car and grabbed the box. I had stopped by my parent's house to say hi before going to FedEx. Literally was inside for 30 minutes. About $80 worth of stuff. The trader on here had already shipped but was supper understanding. Luckily I was able to replace the BdBdB which was the main ISO of the trader.
