Its still up. It shows up twice for people who were RS members last year and this year.

Once for the 2016 January RS Allocation and one more time for the 2015 Leftover Allocation.

Ok, but was it offered to 2015 Reserve members prior to today?

The amount of allocation coming out this month, I might have to find me a third job.

Interested in hearing some reviews on Colonel Kernel. Always a fan of a really good barleywine.

Barrels, which is commonly abbreviated on the internet as bals, so um yea, I'm pretty sure The Bruery knows people are calling it Chocolate Salty Balls

In brewing, BBL is the notation for “barrel,” a unit of measurement equal to 31 gallons. This is not to be confused with an oak barrel, which typically holds nearly two BBLs of beer. Still with us? Great. A special blend of our bourbon barrel aged imperial stout with our bourbon barrel aged sour stout, plus an addition of juicy blueberries, Blue BBLs finishes with incredibly vinous tones. The acidity from the sour stout matches perfectly with the sweet malt character of the imperial stout and the fruity tannins from the berries round everything together. Notes of red wine, blueberry skins, toffee and roasted oak. A fine addition to the line up of Hoarders Society exclusive ales.

Y'all think a brewery that named a beer Blue BBLs and SHIT (along with other funny names in the past) didn't intend for people to call it Chocolate Salty Balls? gimmee a break

In all my years of beer drinking, I've never heard anyone say anything bad about a "cornwine".

    So that's a good sign, I guess?

I know this is the 2016 thread but since the old one is locked I just want to say that Arbre Light is tasting much better now than when I had it on tap. Either the bottles are better or the oak has mellowed out over time.

    You're absolutely right.

If people weren't supposed to read it as "Chocolate Salty Balls," the label designer would not have put two huge round cacao pods in the background of the label. Nor would he have put the quip "Chef's Surprise" in the lower right side of the label.

Similarly, if you weren't supposed to read "Blue BBLs" as "Blue Balls," the designer would not have put two big swollen blueberries in the background of the label. Nor would he have put the quip "It's Swell!" on the label.

One of these days The Bruery will do a BBLs beer that doesn't feature a round adjunct, and I don't know what the designer will do then...

Coworker and I split a bottle last night and both loved it. I haven't had it on draft and this was my first experience drinking a bottle, but we thought it was smooth, pleasantly not boozy (kudos, Bruery, for conditioning us over the years to think 11% isn't boozy), and was complimented nicely by the oak.

Now, haven't tried medium or alligator yet, so who knows about those.

I no longer see SHiT up for sale on the site. Is it sold out already? I had seen it for sale as part of the RS allocation and picked those up, but had hoped to pick some more up when it went up for public sale. If it's sold out, how much of this stuff is actually hitting distribution?

We did the full horizontal tasting around X-mas, and Medium was our favorite of the three. Light in the bottle had a little smoke quality, while Alligator was just punch you in the nose oak. Medium seemed the best balanced, and the smoothest of them.

SHiT is down for me too. Might have had to have been a 2015 RS/HS member to have it still appear (as a holdover allocation)?

I think I remember hearing SHIT would be open to 2016 until it was open for public release and then 2015 until the 29th. But I can't find any email that actually said that.
