Will it make you not sign up in 2013 or will it make you not only sign up to the regular Reserve Society in 2013 but also spend even more in the hopes of getting an invite to the Hoarders Society?

People want what they are told they cannot have. I think this is brilliant.

OK, how many people here actually received invites?

I'm wondering if this is not fake, and indeed real, if it is in trial balloon stage?

Has anybody actually received an invite?
Maybe they haven't sent them out yet.

I'm in Canada - It will make me pre-order 40+ bottles of Fou'Foune and just trade for what I want more. Better selection, but much more work at my end.

I won't renew my membership. Most of the beers I've had via RS have been beers I'm not interested in purchasing again (specifically because they are underwhelming and overpriced). The irony is that I'm an idiot and haven't learned my lesson yet that buy-before-you-try is a bad move with the Bruery.

The guy who posted it on RB has. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trickling out.

I learned that pretty quickly. I almost never max out allocations, especially of sours (the big BBA beers are the one thing I'll max untried). The Bruery needs to seriously tone down their acetobacter before I start maxing those out.

I am aware of 4 unique individuals who have received an invite.

Sure, but that's based on entirely different (and in my opinion, more appropriate) reasons than what I'm hearing as the reason in this thread. You don't find the quality of the beer to be worth the price. Very different than saying, I didn't get invited, I'm out, despite liking the beer.

vacax posted on fb that he got an invite. this may be selected based on longevity in addition to cumulative sales, as vacax has been fellating them since the beginning.

dude, i understand your irritation, but every single one of your posts here reeks of sour grapes. chill.

    Yes.

And it seems like all the individuals I know who received invites have been RS members for multiple years.

Yeah, I'm going to pass on this. I'm not even sure if I'm going to re-up for RS 2013. Seems like the beer selection is kind of meh all year.

If your login and password work you got an invitation. Sadly mine do not.

Never got an email or anything though? Odd...

If this is correct and I am in, I can offer some stats:

    - I live in Canada, so I'm obviously not local to the Bruery (don't use my discount card, draft fills, etc)
    - I've been a member for two years (2011/2012)
    - Total billed in 2011 (includes 2012 RS fee) was ~$2300
    - Total billed so far this year is around $1200

I'd say from a $ perspective I max out somewhere between 80-90% of my allocations ($-wise). It's probably closer to 90%, maybe even a little bit over if I'm honest with myself!
