I had the growler package returned by FedEx last week with nothing wrong inside the box but the box was soaked with water. I refilled the growler and shipped it today should see landing before Friday.
I usually don't send any IPA's or DIPA's that I don't personally pick up at the brewery or one certain store that always lets me know when he gets it in. So I ship stuff not over 2 weeks old so the recipient can enjoy it before it gets to 30 days old. And on the freezing issue it gets cold here in NH too. I've yet to have anything freeze incoming or out going. The trick is to always ship on a Monday then it doesn't sit in a truck over the weekend.
I'm in until early April for the next round any later will put me out. I'm planning on finishing something I started in 1974 (No laughter here I know some of you weren't born then) I hiked the AT from Georgia to NH but didn't have time to complete it with the starting of college that Aug. I know find myself with the time to complete the journey and am planning a mid April start depending on the weather.
This was unnecessary. I choose to believe that there wasn't a game played yesterday. Everyone here is very very sad today.
Well I was born in 1974. But aside from that, very cool that you'll be finishing the AT! Always been something I wanted to do. But I would think that would be a tough time to go from NH to Maine with snow, cold, etc. The best hike I ever did was up in NH. We hiked up to Mt Lafayette, over to Mt Lincoln and Little Haystack and down Falling Waters trail. Walking along the Franconia Ridge Trail was unbelievable! Need to get back up there soon with my kids.
I love the AT and the book (Walk in the Woods). I use to stay in Hiawasse during the summers with my gp's. One of my favorite places on earth.
The Whites are great I've done all 48 4000 footers in both summer and winter. I really enjoy hiking in the winter more than the summer. But I'll start in Georgia in April then hike north and should finish in early Sept.
Damn, that looks and sounds amazing. I guess it's time to update my Wants list to include some Tired Hands.
I thought you were just finishing up the part you didn't finish in '74. Kudos for doing the whole thing! Also, very cool that you did all the peaks in both months. You're probably in damn good shape! I'd like to hit all the 3500' Catskill peaks. A guy at work has done all of them like you, in both seasons. Now he is doing them again with his kids.
Man, with some of these VBS lately, I feel like I'm almost slumming it! VBS# - Forest & Main - Solaire Reserve
Well I'll follow with a #VBS with this from Ballast Point Peppermint Victory at Sea. IMO this is far behind the base beer.
2 weeks old or less. The backstory on the other hand is another matter entirely... get me drunk and I'll tell you all about it
It has to do with a young lads quest to find fresh Whalez with some adventure and drama and a little bit of pixie dust.
April.slunds pretty good.for round 3. March sounds perfect and Feb sounds crazy soon. Gives us an extended breather after the holidays I suppose. Good luck to anyone doing the stouts BIF. So many stout releases just wrapped up. I'm ready for a change of pace now. Summer yet?
