I'm just happy they are in cans. All i've ever seen in my area are bottles

Because it has different marketing. Smart move on Troegs part. People **** all over similar tasting ipas/dipas.

I think the original comment by @Shmuffalo was more about that the beer has some complementing malt flavor, unlike a lot of some of the trendy popular IPA's.

I think it's accurately labeled as a hoppy red ale. It existed long before breweries tried to label everything as some version of a an IPA. (Black IPA, White IPA, Red IPA, Rye IPA, Belgian IPA, etc)

I haven't seen in cans yet but got some in bottles.
A big stack of cases in the Philly burbs today, in the bottle format. $47 (after tax) for a case and about half that for a 12 pack.

It's heeeeeeeerrrreeeeeeeee. I got my keg yesterday right off the truck practically. I didn't really have a full glass last night because it was all foamed up from transport, but the small taste I did have has left me really optimistic about this years. Smell was really fruity, moreso than the last 2 years.

Further tasting will happen tonight, I'll report back with findings.

Nugget Nectar is at home, Head Hunter is awaiting my pick up, so technically, no, not yet :sunglasses:

How awesome is that? I'm in for some serious hop overload.

The word here is that we couldn't obtain the 16 oz blanks this year. Apparently, the US canning industry has not anticipated the demand for cans from craft beer.

    Horray for slight PLCB reform!

I couldn't agree more! A slight reform but I'll take it.
In this case though I bought 2 cases so for me the point may be moot.

I had my first Nugget Nectar tonight (bottled). After my first sip I said out loud: "Wow!".

I did not perceive any chalk whatsoever in this bottled beer.

    Cheers!
